While the smart money is on Star Trek Discovery swiftly becoming the most pirated show not on television once the series begin, at least now there is a set premiere date of September 24th, 2017. That’s on a Sunday and the series can only be seen on CBS All Access, a pay to play streaming service, except for the one time airing of the pilot that same Sunday night at 8:30-9:30 PM (PST) on your local CBS channel.

So the basic rate for CBS All Access is $5.99 a month or you can op up for the $9.99 a month plan that lets you skip commercials. That’s right, your $5.99 includes commercials that cannot be fast forwared past. Isn’t that exciting.
While many are planning on checking out the pilot premiere, will those pony up the $5.99 a month for one show?
