It’s fairly certain that if you’re like the majority of fans, or at least the ones that log their outrage online, then you did not enjoy the first Inhumans trailer released by Marvel Studios and ABC. So everybody was looking to San Diego Comic Con for them to make up the difference, and get everyone well and truly excited about the possibilities of the new series coming later this summer in IMAX theatres before its TV debut. So are you feeling, Inhuman?
At the SDCC panel, the head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb was joined by series stars Anson Mount, Iwan Rheon, Serinda Swan, Eme Ikwuakor, Isabelle Cornish, Ken Leung, Ellen Woglom, Sonya Balmores and Mike Moh, as well as director Roel Reine and showrunner Scott Buck. The group screened the new trailer, and also showed fans several completed scenes, including extended sequences seen in the trailer, and a dinner scene that gave the audience an idea about the power dynamics and relationships between the various main characters.
If you like what you see above, Loeb revealed that there will be an extended trailer for Inhumans that will be screened before Dunkirk in IMAX theatres. Of special note in that longer trailer is more insight into Maximus’ aggravated friction with the other members of the Inhuman royal court. The series will follow Maximus as he overthrows his brother Black Bolt as king of the Inhumans, forcing the royal family into exile on Earth. How do the Inhuman royals get home, and what dangers will they face in Hawaii? Only one way to find out…
Inhumans premieres in IMAX theatres on September 1, and will begin its TV run on September 29 on ABC.
