The last 20 minutes of Game of Thrones last night was astounding. You can check our recap here. Although we have seen the dragons in action countless other times on the show, “The Spoils of War” was the first time we got to not only see the Dothraki army in full on action, but they also had a Drogon riding Daenerys laying waste to the Lannister Army. Everyone’s timelines were on fire talking about that epic scene and we’re all looking forward to what happens next on Game of Thrones.
HBO released a 14 minute behind the scenes featurette for the battle. One interesting tidbit is that the episode was directed by Matt Shakman who is primarily known for directing episodes of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, not really a battle-heavy show. Take a look for all the great behind the scenes action.
