Patty Jenkin‘s Wonder Woman continues to march onward and Warner Bros. knows when to back a winner even if they didn’t know it would be a winner while in production. Gal Godat‘s popularity as the Amazonian Princess Diana Prince is riding a wave and Warner Bros. is ready and willing to capitalize on it by shifting some of the Justice League focus onto Wonder Woman. Check out the latest Synopsis below.
Up until this synopsis, Ben Affleck‘s Batman has been the driving force behind the formation of the Justice League, but with the success of Wonder Woman at the box office and the troubles floating around the Affleck Batman movie Warner Bros. seems to be pivoting to put the Amazon as the in large and in charge superhero.
The new synopsis was found on Barbie‘s new Justice League Barbie Signature Mera doll pictured below:
Here’s what’s on the back of the packaging:
Once again, Wonder Woman must demonstrate her ability as a fierce warrior. Facing a great enemy, she and Batman join forces to recruit a group of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. Having formed an unprecedented League of heroes, they set out to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Now let’s look at the old synopsis:
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy.
While both still focus on the team work between Batman and Wonder Woman the two versions definitely singles out which is in charge… How will this translate on the big screen considering Joss Whedon‘s reshoots? Have those reshoots increased Wonder Woman’s status to equal or greater than Batman’s?
Only time and a screening will tell. Justice LEague hits theater screens November 17th.
