We’ve gotten bits and pieces of information over the last couple of months about DC Comic’s next mini-event, No Justice. Coming off the heels of Dark Nights: Metal, Justice League: No Justice is a four-part weekly comic. The event splits up the Justice League in new and interesting ways, including some new, surprising members. Scott Snyder tweeted a bit more information on what to expect while showing off the cover of issue 1.
Justice League: No Justice will feature four new teams. These teams feature typical members of the JLA as well as some of their classic villains. Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, and Joshua Williamson will write the series with Francis Manapul on illustration. Each team has a designated team name and mission. Snyder and Co give us Team Wonder, Team Entropy, Team Wisdom and Team Mystery. Team Wonder features Justice League Dark alumni Zatanna and Etrigan. Also calling in Dr. Fate, Raven, Team Wonder is lead by Wonder Woman herself. Team Entropy is lead by Batman who is teaming up with Beast Boy, Deathstroke, Lex Luthor, and Lobo. Team Mystery bands together Martain Manhunter, Starfire, Sinestro and Starro, lead by Superman. Finally, Team Wisdom is Cyborg with Flash, Robin, Atom, and Harley Quinn. There’s also been mention of a fifth, Earth-based team with Nightwing and Amanda Waller.
The four teams are brought together by the villain Brainiac to deal with cosmic entities. The entities threaten to consume the life-force of the universe itself. The entities are where the teams get their names, Entropy, Wisdom, Wonder, and Mystery.
The No Justice books are a bridge story, explains Snyder. Going between Dark Knight: Metal and what the Justice League will become. There will be three books branching off of No Justice. Justice League, art by Jorge Jimenez and Jim Chueng, written by Scott Snyder. Justice League Dark will be by writer James Tynion IV with artist Alvaro Martinez. Last but not least, Justice League Odyssey will by writer Joshua Williamson with Stjepan Sejic on art duty. Have any thoughts on the team compositions? Excited for a particular book or creative team?
