‘Deadpool 2’ Marketing Musings: Reynolds Mercilessly Insults Josh Brolin + Deadpool Crashes The Late Show
Ryan Reynolds is the unofficial king of wit and smart-assery. Making use of his exasperatingly charming and mischievous sarcastic humor, Reynolds joins Deadpool 2 cast mate Josh Brolin in a “Playground Insults” game for Scott Mills’ BBC Radio 1 program. No harm. No foul. Just an assault of amusing insults in jest… kinda like a Comedy Central Roasts but with good looking people.
Some of Reynolds zingers include: “You are a muffin-snuggling pirate puncher.” “You’re so old you make dust look like a baby.” “You smell so bad I can hear it.” “You dress like an old George Hamilton.” “You’re so bad in Goonies that when you come on screen people don’t drink, they punch themselves in the d— for five straight minutes.” “What’s your favorite color? Mediocre?”
And here are some of Brolin’s: “You’re tall, you’re handsome, you have the perfect amount of scruff, and you still have no talent.” “I was surprised during our sex scene how small your penis was and how big your balls were.” “So your whole life has been about bulls—ing people. Congratulations.”
In other and more direct promotion of Deadpool 2, the red suited wonder crashed The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
Reynolds showed up in character as Deadpool and bantered with Colbert before taking his glassed completely taking over the opening monologue. A barrage of insults ensued towards the audience, Donald Trump, show guest Jamie Fox, and even himself Ryan Renolds.
The mockery went on and on until Colbert took a note from Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War and disintegrated him with CG effects. “What the f—?” Deadpool exclaimed. “Thanos?! You don’t have the budget for this, Colbert!
