The Teen Titans are no strangers to television, but Warner Bros. Home Entertainment‘s next movie, Justice League vs. Team Titans, will be the team’s very first DC Universe original movie series from Warner Bros. and DC Comics!  The story centers around Robin working with the Titans after his destructive behavior badly botches a Justice League mission. Demon villain Trigon possesses the Justice League, forcing the Titans to step it up in an effort to thwart Trigon’s plans of world conquest.  Director Sam Liu and supervising producer James Tucker have stocked the voice cast with some major talent, as you’ll see below.   (more…)

First we were told we’d be getting to see The Punisher as a supporting character (played by Jon Bernthal) in Daredevil‘s second season, premiering Friday, March 18th. Then, rumors started swirling that Netflix and Marvel were interested in pursuing a standalone series based on the troubled comic book character. According to TV Line, not only is the rumor true, but developments on the series are now underway at Marvel! (more…)

Guillermo del Toro has just signed on to develop and possibly direct a very dark project. Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, to be exact; the classic children’s books written by Alvin Schwartz that were nightmare on their own, but being paired with illustrations by Stephen Gammell made them mildly horrifying. Three Scary Stories books were published by Shwartz between 1981 and 1991, each composed of short horror stories influenced by urban legends and folklore. The series is easily one of the most challenged and banned books in schools, and yet over 7 million copies have been sold to date. Del Torro himself was probably responsible for some of those sales. After the latest film opened six years ago to the worst box office numbers and worst reviews of the Chronicles of Narnia series, a franchise re-boot doesn’t sound like too bad of an idea. Rumor had it back in 2011 that Walden Media had an adaptation of The Magician’s Nephew in the works, but nothing ever came to fruition. 2013 brought us news via press release that The Silver Chair would be next up for film treatment, but there had been no news of any progress since- until now. Producer Mike Gordon spoke to Collider about the reboot; specifically what to (and what NOT to) expect. (more…)

Will The Collector be coming back for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2? Despite a social media comment made by co-star Zoe Saldana to the portray-er of The Collector, Benicio Del Toro, last fall that included “I’ll see you on Guardians!”, the future of some of the supporting characters seems a little less certain than that of their core counterparts. Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel will of course be returning, as will Michael Rooker, who played Yondu, and Karen Gillan, who played Nebula. Situations for Lee Pace, who played Ronan, and Del Toro, are not as certain. (more…)

Widely regarded as the definitive origin story of The Joker, Batman: The Killing Joke is as about as intense as one-shot graphic novels get. When it comes to the animated adaptation, however, it seems to come up a bit lacking. Lead animator on the project, Bruce Timm, revealed in an interview with that supplemental plot elements will be added to flesh the story out into a more film-appropriate format. Read on for more details about the project and the video of Timm’s interview. (more…)

It only makes sense that fans as passionate as those of the Star Wars franchise will run through the newest installment, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, with a fine-toothed comb to find criticisms. The most common critique for the film so far has been that it’s structured to similarly to A New Hope, and features too many nods, homages, and borrowed content. Director J.J. Abrams has obviously heard of this, and explained his reasoning recently on the THR Awards Chatter podcast.  Here’s what he had to say: (more…)

It’s no secret that Adam Sandler‘s movies tend to fall into one of two piles for people- absolutely love, or absolutely hate. With the ups (Grown Ups 2), downs (That’s My Boy), and in-betweens (Pixels and Blended) of the actor’s recent releases, it was anyone’s guess how The Ridiculous 6 would fare when it was released- available only through Netflix. The streaming service is proud to announce, however, that less than a month after adding the Western comedy to its selection of films, The Ridiculous 6 has already earned the title of the most watched movie on Netflix. Ever! (more…)

Along with all the press Chris Evans (who plays Captain America) has been doing, there’s also been a slew of Cap’n propaganda being released.
