Francois Alaux and Herve de Crecy, the duo that won an Oscar for their short film, Logorama, is apparently now working on short live-action film Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon series. The film will serve as advertisement and a prequel to the upcoming Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Seems like Ubisoft is hoping that what they did with Assassin’s Creed, they are hoping it will work for Ghost Recon, and getting the folks from Logorama may make it work right to get people pumped for the game. Let’s just hope a certain evil company, *cough*Activision*cough,* doesn’t get the idea to make movies for their games because really, who would want a Band Hero movie.

Can you see what the person photo shopped here? Sho-Ryu-Ken! (Sure-You-Can). Sorry with that lame joke, but up above is a pretty funny and clever photo shopped image then what my joke was. Sure the name is really Hadouken but c’mon people, lets use some imagination on this. I also appriciate the down-forward quarter circle punch image as there are some gamers, mostly new generation gamers, claiming it’s hard to play and they want the dial-a-combo game play. Maybe we do need to send them out to Haboken to get them learning on Street Fighter basics. Comment below if you have seen other signs and it had you remember or thought of something you like.

Today is the big release for Final Fantasy XIII, the big RPG franchise that many gamers has been waiting for. As for me, although I do have love for the Final Fantasy franchise, as Final Fantasy IV (or Final Fantasy 2 when it first released in the US), I will not be picking that game up today. Instead, I have decided to buy Sega’s release of Yakuza 3, a game that many thought wouldn’t come to the states. Most of you might be asking what the hell Yakuza 3 is, and to simply answer, it’s an Action Adeventure, where the fighting is similiar to Final Fight and what a 3D Streets of Rage would be, with a some what open world that lets gamer travel around cities of Japan and do stuff before their mission and progress of story, which some will say more than what you can do in Final Fantasy XIII.
In case you haven’t heard, Final Fantasy XIII has you focus more on the story, and by doing so, you have a linear path in the game and have no towns to visit or any NPC (Non-Playable Characters) to talk to. If you want the freedom you usually get in an RPG, you have to wait and beat the story mode, which could take 40-60 hours to beat. Where in Yakuza 3, before you go on with the story, you get to walk around the streets of Tokyo, fight some street punk and also curb stomping them, go into a convenient store and check out magazines, go karaoke with a hot chick, or go to the arcades and play some games. This can all be done when getting in between checkpoints of the game, and to me, it sounds like Yakuza 3 is already more open then FFXIII is with all the exploration you can do in Yakuza 3.
Either way, Final Fantasy XIII will sale because of its name and maybe I’m just hoping that this will give some attention to Yakuza 3 because it would be cool to have more games like this from Japan to come out. Unfortunately, seems like Sega doesn’t really care much as there hasn’t been any advertisement and the fact they decided to send it out the same day as FFXIII doesn’t help. As many gamers out there will be just be going in a “straight line” in FFXIII, I will be swinging a bike in circle and and smashing people’s face in with Yakuza 3 (expect a review in the near future).
I like cover songs and I like parodies, so if your like me, you will at least appreciate the new video pantless knights (pictured above) just released. They parodied Jay-Z and Alicia Keys ‘Empire State of Mind’ and turn it into what they believe is a geek anthem for the new age of geeks and nerds, thus the name “The New Dorks.” It’s a really well made video and I got a kick of it. As it becoming a geek anthem, I guess we shall see. The tune is catchy, but so was the original. Either way, I’m more than glad to post this as it has an image of Kevin Rose in the video and I have a man crush for him. The video is available after the jump. (more…)
After so many teases that weren’t subtle, Valve (the lovely people that brought us Left 4 Dead, Half-Life, and more), has confirmed officially that Steam, their awesome digital distribution platform, will be available to the Mac next month. Valve will be treating the Mac 100x better than PS3 users as they will release a function called Steam Play, where PC users who bought games before can also play those exact game on their Mac for free. Not to mention, multi-player will be cross platform as Mac players can go head to head with PC users and maybe the age old question can be answered, who’s better, Mac or PC users. The folks at Valve had this to say:
“We are treating the Mac as a tier-1 platform so all of our future games will release simultaneously on Windows, Mac, and the Xbox 360. Updates for the Mac will be available simultaneously with the Windows updates. Furthermore, Mac and Windows players will be part of the same multiplayer universe, sharing servers, lobbies, and so forth. We fully support a heterogeneous mix of servers and clients. The first Mac Steam client will be the new generation currently in beta testing on Windows.”
I’m happy for Mac fans to finally get some great gaming available to them… of course this just leaves me high and dry since I only have a PS3 and for some damn reason Valve hates Sony’s machine. I swear, if for some odd reason Valve supports Nintendo Wii before the PS3, I am going to go Gordan Freeman on some ones ass.

Are you ready? I said are you ready? Yea, sorry for starting off with a DX reference but tonight is the night for wrestling fans as TNA makes it official move to Mondays. Since of 2001, this will be the first time WWE will have competition with another wrestling company on Monday nights and thus the new Monday Night War starts. One may ask why this is important, and truth be told, it’s always good to have competition and that may be the little push WWE needs to make wrestling a bit better as many fans can easily say it has been stale for years now. Let’s see what we have up for both shows tonight after the jump. (more…)
So no joke, my girlfriend doesn’t want me to play World of Warcraft because of all the horror stories she heard about it. She can put up with my love of video games, anime, manga, wrestling, and Power Rangers but don’t know what to do if I ever started to play WoW which makes me laugh a bit but then I have no interest in playing the game so it works out. The folks over at Fark TV made a new video and I have to say, it’s pretty funny. The video is about a few wives who were worried about their husbands being addicted to video game, so they had their husbands hypnotized thinking their life with their wives as a video game, in which we get World of Wifecraft. I think it was nicely done and at the end, it does reference one of the greatest thing that ever came out of WoW. Check the video after the break and tell us what ya’ll think. (more…)
Oh, the ultra violence, fast action anime/manga Hokuto no Ken, Fist of the North Star over here is the states, is an awesome franchise and if ya haven’t checked it out, you should just at least experience one the first fighting scenes just to see the awesomeness of bodies exploding and such. Koei, the developers that brought us the countless of Dynasty Warriors game, has mixed Fist of the North Star with the Warriors game play (like they did with Dynasty Warriors: Gundam) and we get Hokuto Musou, which can be translated to North Star Warriors. Has not been confirmed for an American release but I can only hope it will after watching the video, which you can check out after the break or you can have your head explode. (more…)
One ah ah ah, two ah ah ah, three ah ah ah. Yeah I stop there since it may annoy some of you and I’m sure this picture will annoy some fans but I can say the majority will love it because damn sure I love it. I always liked The Count and knew that if things has to go down, The Count can hold his own and who ever drew this had the same thought. Now I have The Count just standing above him saying “You’ve got knock the f%^*ed out! Ah ah ah!” in my head and I’m sure I’ll be saying it at work today, thank you internet.

Being blind would be awful as in I wouldn’t be able to play my video games, watch anime and wrestling, or even look at internet porn…I mean YouTube videos. Anyways, Jordan Verner, is a blind person who asked for help on YouTube ever since he started playing the N64 classic, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. He got a taste of an awesome game but unfortunately cannot finish the game with his disability. Then, Roy Williams and three other gamers decided to help Jordan out by writing a move by move script to help him finish the game. The project took two years but Jordan was finally able to beat the game. As Jordan’s school motto is “The impossible is only the untried,” which is true here, showing that through dedication, even a blind person can get through the dreadful Water Temple. Check out the vid after the break, as it has William’s local news reporting on the matter. (more…)
