Sure this image has made it’s way across the net and may be a bit late to post, but I don’t care. It made me laugh and who knows, there may be some other folks who have the same stupid humor that I have. Just imagine if the gentle, down to earth Bob Ross (if you don’t know who is then YouTube the bastard) was this intense. He could have gone on saying how “this is a bush” and how “this is a tree” in some victorious manner. It certainly wouldn’t put you to sleep, which hearing Bob Ross’s soothing voice did quite often.
Vertigo’s popular comic series, Sandman, is once again being consider for a TV adaptation as Warner Bros. is trying to acquire the rights to air it on TV. If successful, they have plans to have Supernatural creator Erik Kripke to take on the project and also air it on CW network. Throughout the ’90s there has been many attempts to adapt the series into live action via film or TV and has never passed through the planning phase. HBO was once close but due to rights issue, the planned mini-series never happened.
While I’m up for some good television and hearing many good things about the Sandman story, I wouldn’t mind checking it out. My only worry is that WB is aiming to air this on CW. As of now, most of the shows on CW are aimed for female audience, hence getting rid of shows like Everybody Hates Chris, Reaper, and their number one watched show, WWE Smackdown! I guess you could say, I have a bad feeling on how they may want to take on the story. Anyway, how do y’all feel about this? Any of you excited for the possibilities of a TV show or does the news upset you?
“Marty! Marty!” Looks like we’ll be hearing doc saying that and more quotes as it has been confirmed that Christopher Lloyd will be providing his voice. USA Today got a concept art (pictured above) and other details on Telltale Games (Sam & Max series, Tales of Monkey Island) upcoming game. Marty and Doc Brown will look like their movie counterparts and while there will be other returning characters, we don’t know if the any actors will give their likeness or voice. Series screenwriter, Bob Gale, is working on the story development of the game which is set for 5 episodic downloads.
Knowing Telltales history, I’m pretty optimistic as I have enjoy their past release and they are the king when it comes to episodic downloads. What do y’all think? Does any of these news excite you or are you still holding back because of the history of bad movie video games?
Mortal Kombat!!! Cue techno song. I’ve been a fan of the franchise since the Genesis days and knowing that the 9th game will be going back to it’s roots, just makes me a happy fat boy. In the video, we get co-creator Ed Boon talking about the history of the franchise and how they are changing things up for the new game. He admits that Mortal Kombat has had it’s bad moments but it seems that he and the crew are trying to make a legit fighting game this time around.
All I know is that spring, 2011 can’t come any sooner as I’m excited about the new fatalities, the X-ray focus moves, and the new story that is suppose to change the history of MK 1 to MK 3. How about you guys? Any of y’all excited about the game and if so, leave a comment on how you feel about the upcoming game.
This hand of mine is burning red! Its loud roar tells me to grasp victory! Erupting God Finger!!! So yeah, G Gundam was my favorite Gundam series since it mixed shonen and giant robots together, which eventually led to me start building Gundam models. I was more into the Super Deformed set since it was more cartoonish and at the local Asian mart, it was the cheapest set available. If I have one bad memory of building the Gundam kits were those annoying frames/part trees would sometimes snap under my chubby fingers and hurt me.
Well, it seems some people has found some use with those left over plastic parts and after 250 hours, they successfully built a RX-78-2 Gundam model (the one that Amuro Ray uses) that is about 10 ft. It’s very impressive that they built such a large Gundam out of those frames. Check after the jump for some more pics and imagine what you could built with left over parts.
While I may not be a religious person or have much knowledge of the bible and such, I do know that this video sure as hell beat those bible games that couple of my friends have. Genesis System has created a video which shows God playing Supernatural Creator 2 (cause we all know sequels are better), which gives him the chance to create the world in 7 levels instead of 7 days. The video is done well and all the sound effects just puts a smile on my face. Check the video out and tell us what you thought about it by leaving a comment.
It’s the last Tuesday for the month of August and even though summer is coming to a close, NerdBastards got you covered for DVD Tuesday. As always, we list what movie was released this week and recommend if it’s either a BUY, RENT, or PASS. We got the usual Old is New, TV Show DVD, Anime Pick, and the LOL/WTF Release section this week. Although it may be a “lite” week, there may be something that you might be interested in, so check after the jump to see what was released.
The man pictured above has given some people another reason to complain how video games are evil. Timothy Hammerstone is a 22 year old Florida resident who is facing 16 counts of possession of child porn. How did he get the child porn you ask? Why, he offered a 10 year old for $20 worth of Microsoft points for some naked pictures. When the police arrested Hammerstone, they found a flash drive containing 40 pictures (I guess he told the boy each picture gives him 40 MS points) of the boy naked.
It seems that the 360/PS3 has been used as a device for predators to find their young bait with the help of the chat and web camera feature. Both systems does have parental control options and stuff like this could have been prevented if parents supervise their young children, especially a 10 year olds, online activity.
James Roberts (a.k.a Jam-Wah) was once an inspiring artist who wanted his work published (and eventually did have one work published) proves that my Dragon Ball-esque drawing style is child’s play compare to his many styles. Jam-Wah has done a series of Geo Vectorial Portraits of well known super heroes such as Cyclops and The Incredible Hulk. Check after the jump to see the large size images of the comic characters we like and also check out Jam-Wah’s deviantART page to see more of his awesome art.
If there’s one thing that Bungie and Microsoft can do justice to, it’s all the live action Halo commercials they make. Hell, I still remember the funeral one as it for some reason made an impact to me (could be the military brat in me). Anyway, the second Halo: Reach commercial has been released on the internet and like always, it does not disappoint. Like the first Reach (which is posted after the jump) commercial, they are both directed by Noam Murro. So what are you waiting for, check the trailer out and tell us what you think and see if this trailer makes you want to finish the fight… once again. Or would it be start the fight since it’s a prequel?
