Sometimes life can truly be a beautiful thing. The weather is just right. The birds are singing, The Chicago Cubs win a World Series! Life is fair, but alas that is usually not the case and today we were all reminded of how cruel the world can be. The beloved Hi-C Ecto Cooler will cease to be, come years end.

According to the beverages official Facebook page the future is bleak.  (more…)

Whether you like his politics or not, President Barack Obama is a unique president. OK, let’s get the obvious one out the way, he’s black. However, another unique feature that he has that not many presidents have had, is that he’s the first “millennial” president. He uses social media, he listens to current pop music, and he’s a loud and proud nerd.

After months of disappointed tourists being unable to ride, The Incredible Hulk roller coaster is back and more pissed off than ever. Last September, the big green giant closed for a massive refurbishment. After sixteen years of thrilling park guests, Universal Studios figured that it was about time the attraction got a face-lift. Everything from the track to the trains to even the entrance would get a fresh coat of paint and give riders a relatively new ride experience to the same track layout. So after nearly a year of fine-tuning and fixing up the ride, how do the new changes hold up? Let’s find out. (more…)

It’s October, the season of fall clothes, apple cider, and pumpkin flavored everything. It’s also of course, the month of Halloween. The time of the year where everyone gets in the spooky spirit, dressing up in costumes, hosting ghoulish parties, trick or treating w/ the kids, and watching  of horror movie marathons. October also marks the emergence of local scare parks. Every town/city across the globe has local haunts that roll around each fall season aiming to scare guests with frightful mazes and other horror themed attractions. Some are good and well established (Like “Knotts Scary Farm” in Buena Park, California, or New England’s “Spooky World”) and others, well, not so much. For the brave souls that endure the parks, the thrill seekers, there is one scary destination that raises a severed limb above the rest. That would be…Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights. Odd to think an amusement park known for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter would be synonymous with horror but during select nights in September – October, the daytime fun phases out and what emerges in its place is an evening full of insidious horrors.

What exactly is HHN, what’s all the hubbub, is it worth it? All these questions and more are addressed below the jump.  (more…)

Earlier this year Disney announced plans to do a complete remodel of their current fan-beloved attraction, Twilight Zone’s Tower of Terror housed in the Hollywood Tower Hotel in the California Adventure Park. And what will replace the Tower? Disney has decided to cash in on what will be the first attraction based off one of their newly acquired Marvel Properties Guardians of the Galaxy. The previous lettering for the current attraction has already been taken down and construction is well under way as the attraction is now covered in scaffolding. The new structure design has been announced as “The Collector’s Fortress” with the attraction title of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout‘…well that’s a mouthful. Tower of Terror is set to take its final plunge later this year, not really a lot of time for Disney’s Imagineers to have the new attraction up and running by their projected date of summer 2017.

To give the fans a glimpse at what we can expect from the new Guardians attraction, Disney has released a brief video showing us the new attraction and its sleek new design. Check it out below! (more…)

While an aging Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter, stars of the Bill & Ted Franchise, have said time and time again that a 3rd movie is in development, time, relevance, and scripting out a worthy story, has kept the proposed threequel in stagnation. It’s been 25 years since Bill and Ted’s last cinematic outing (in 1991’s Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey), a new movie that satisfies fans of the originals and appeals to modern audience becomes more and more audacious as the years go by. These challenges in congruity, however, only seem to apply to the Bill & Ted movie-verse. The characters themselves, are still around, thriving in their loveable stupidity and surfer-eques/wannabe rocker demeanor, at an annual stage show in Universal Studios Florida(more…)
