While we all wait for AMC’s The Walking Dead to return to our TV’s for a fifth season, it’s nice to know that the fine folks over at Bad Lip Reading (the geniuses behind Game of Thrones/Medieval Land Fun-Time World) are on hand give us a (slightly re-dubbed) recap of last season. The following 5 minute video will help refresh your memory on plot lines such as Daryl’s turtle Anthony, extra polite zombies, the dolphin/apple based tension between Rick and Tyreese, and let’s not forget the musical numbers. Oh the musical numbers.

I’m going to be honest, I don’t remember last season of The Walking Dead being like this, but  they couldn’t put this recap up on YouTube if it wasn’t true, right? Check it out after the jump (more…)

This Is How You Make ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2′ At Least 10 Times Better

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hit theaters earlier this year and was met with more than a little criticism. The crowded story and over the top acting walked a line that was a bit too reminiscent of 1995’s Batman Forever for Spidey fans and while the movie still managed to drum up a little over $700 million worldwide box office, it was still the lowest earner of the franchise.  There are plenty of things that could have made the movie better, and the people over at HISHE have given TASM2 the “How It Should Have Ended” treatment to show us just how much better it could have been. ‘Star Wars’ Crew Pokes ‘Batman V Superman’ Gang with a Hunka Junk

- 09-18-14Comics, Film, Funny Videos Posted by Adam A. Donaldson

star wars vii

Franchise rivalry is nothing new. DC Comics and Marvel have had a long-standing tiff, and even Star Wars and Star Trek have been known to lock horns in the hearts and minds of fans for decades now. But DC and Star Wars? They don’t have a beef with each other, right? Well maybe the franchises don’t, but directors J.J. Abrams and Zack Snyder seem to have at least a friendly game of one-upmanship so far as Twitter pranks go. The latest of which is a little surprise that the Star Wars Episode VII crew have for the gang from Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice. A salute from one hunka junk to another.

The official Bad Robot Twitter feed sent this out earlier today.  (more…)

What Would ‘Star Wars’ Have Been Like Without John Williams?

- 09-12-14Film, Funny Videos Posted by Jason McAnelly

star wars john williams

Sometimes people don’t recognize exactly how much a great movie score affects the way you see a flick on a profound level. The best musical compilations are remembered for years even if they’re not necessarily the main thing that audiences are concentrating on while they view a film. In the world of awesome movie scores, John Williams’ name stands high above most of the others. Now imagine if the world we lived in had no John Williams… Imagine Star Wars without the epic music. How would that look? Scroll on to check out just one scene from A New Hope that has been stripped of Williams’ brilliant influence (courtesy of the Auralnauts). (more…)

‘Rescue Rangers’ Gets Scientifically Accurate And Ruins Your Childhood

SF

I’m just going to throw this out there: If you’ve never had the opportunity to view any of Animation Domination High-Def’s series of “Scientifically Accurate” cartoon jingles, based on the opening theme  songs and credits of some of pop culture’s most beloved animated characters, then you are doing  yourself a grave disservice. Let me tell ya, they are a beauty to behold. ADHD has already tackled  DuckTales and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but the animation group has a new target: Chip ‘n  Dale’s Rescue Rangers. If you’re ancient like me, you’ll remember the series featuring the title  characters solving crimes and what-not with their mice companions Monterey Jack and Gadget and the  housefly Zipper. No set up I could give this video would do it justice, so just give it a look. (more…)

Is ‘Honest Trailers’ Becoming the Litmus Test for Movie Writers?

- 09-08-14Film, Funny Videos Posted by Jason McAnelly

honest trailer captain america

Most out there have witnessed the critical tirade that is Honest Trailers. Brought to the world by Screen Junkies, this amusing series of YouTube videos takes the movies that we all know and love (and sometimes hate with a passion) and tear them into little pieces for all the stupid crap that the writers, producers and directors decided would make good cinema. And it appears as if the Screen Junkies crew has now achieved some sort of real power within the industry, for Anthony and Joe Russo are citing Honest Trailers as their litmus test when they co-wrote Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
