agents of shield season 3
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is getting ready for its fourth season this month. With the new season premiere, we are slowly moving away from the world of Inhumans, to the world of the mystical. As the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film Dr. Strange is already going towards the world of magic. And as stated during the Thor movies, the world of magic is just science that cannot yet be explained and very much a part of the MCU. This season, we will be going into the world of magic and mysticism with the introduction of Ghost Rider.
Last week on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., HYDRA was ready to bring some sort of nasty Inhuman beast through the alien portal in an effort to fill the world with death and destruction. After losing Rosalind to a bullet from Ward, Coulson went on the rampage, desperate to kill his nemesis once and for all. Meanwhile, team S.H.I.E.L.D. figured out where HYDRA had set up shop and went after them. The bad guys were using Fitz and Simmons to find out a way to get their weird alien “god” back and S.H.I.E.L.D. needed to stop them before it was too late. And while HYDRA did manage to get their team through the portal, it wasn’t too late for Coulson to jump through as well, ensuring that they’d at least have a little competition to deal with. This week, S.H.I.E.L.D. tries to figure out how to rescue their teammates while still stopping HYDRA from executing their doomsday plan. ‘Maveth’ is the big mid-season finale, although it really doesn’t feel too big by the end of 42 minutes. Last week on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the story was entirely about Simmons and her journey on the alien planet. Still, we had many things to deal with in the regular world. Lash was running around killing Inhumans and seemed to be doing it for a righteous cause. Coulson had to deal with Rosalind Price and her team in order to make progress in hunting down potentially dangerous Inhumans. And Daisy was caught in the middle of it all, uncovering the mystery of Lash while seeking to protect her fellow super-powered citizens. So what will this week’s episode, ‘Among Us Hide…’, bring? Scroll on to find out. (more…)
Last week on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the team found themselves in many unpleasant situations. Coulson was forced to toe the line between protecting those with powers and making deals with Rosalind Price to secure S.H.I.E.L.D.’s future. Daisy was trying to help Lincoln but, thanks to the ATCU, was failing miserably. Hunter and May were worming their way into HYDRA. And, last but not least, Simmons revealed a newfound obsession with trying to get back to the alien planet from which she was rescued. This week things get violent as Lash returns to hunt down more Inhumans and Ward continues his resurrection of the mostly defunct HYDRA. Scroll on to read more about ‘Devils You Know’. (more…)
Last week on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the team came together, dug deep and managed to finally figure out the mystery of the obelisk. This led to Fitz taking the plunge and jumping into the portal to rescue Simmons. While all this was going on, Ward was making moves to bring HYDRA under his control. And the duo of Hunter and May were planning an infiltration into the remaining ranks of HYDRA so that they could cut Ward off at the pass. This time around, ‘A Wanted (Inhu)man’ presents the various team members each trying to get their respective plans underway. (more…)
Last week on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., we had our first return to the S.H.I.E.L.D. team in months. Coulson and crew were out trying to grab up Inhumans and bring them in before someone else did likewise. A rival, Rosalind Price, was out to do the same thing, albeit in the name of the government. A wild card Inhuman with crazy dreadlocks and energy powers was hunting Inhumans too, though his intention was to murder them. Daisy and Mack were trying to build their new Inhuman team. And Fitz was desperately trying to discover where Simmons was and how to get her back home again. The latest episode, ‘Purpose in the Machine’ answers the Simmons riddle while bringing Ward and May back into the mix. And all-in-all, it was a pretty damned good outing. (more…)
It’s finally back! Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is here for its third season, despite many people feeling that it didn’t deserve to make it past the first season. But the writers of S.H.I.E.L.D. really stepped up their game during the second run and the show became a favorite for many out there, including myself. When last we left off, the paradise on the mountain that was home to Skye’s mother and many Inhuman potentials went to war with the S.H.I.E.L.D. team. Things worked out in the end, though not without a few casualties. Poor Simmons got eaten by a bit of Kree technology. Ward decided he was going to become the new head of H.Y.D.R.A. and loads of side characters bit the dust. But we now have a wealth of Inhuman cast members to push things to the next level with S.H.I.E.L.D. Will the season premiere make us proud? Read on to find out. (more…)
