The 2016 Razzies have been announced and Zack Snyder‘s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has collected 8 nominations and was just beat out by Zoolander 2‘s 9 nominations for the year’s worst film. Snyder, Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, and Jesse Eisenberg all garnered individual nominations with the ladies of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Amy Adams and Gal Gadot, being the only ones from the film that came away without a nomination. Check out the entire nomination list below. (more…)

Ben Affleck Spotted at Smallville Cemetery Set

While Joss Whedon is dropping new Avengers: Age of Ultron trailers and then extended trailers and then additional cameos, we haven’t really heard anything from Zack Snyder’s Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice since Gotham’s finest caught a Stormtrooper stealing the Batmobile. In fact, both Snyder and J.J. Abrams have gone silent running after kicking off a Twitter battle of one-up-man-ship. Now the latest news from the Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice set is coming from some fans checking out what’s filming in Yorkville, Illinois. That’s right, Yorkville is where Pa Kent (Kevin Costner) is buried and it looks like Bruce Wayne is there to pay his respects. (more…)

While we’ve seen Henry Cavill walking around the set in his super suit covered up with a robe, this time we have perhaps the best look so far at his Man of Steel costume for Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. Amy Adams is is her usual Lois Lane woman reporter vest and shirt. Separately they have been challenged to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and decided to do it together on set. (more…)

Perhaps rekindled by the good box office fortunes of Disney’s other revisionist fairy tale Maleficent, studio executives seem to be once again hot for a sequel to their 2007 hit Enchanted. Disney’s never met an idea that they couldn’t franchise, and it does seem odd that almost sever years later we have to receive an Enchanted 2. The adventure of princess-out-of-water Giselle (Amy Adams), who is lured away from her storybook homeland and exiled to the utterly un-magical world of modern Manhattan, practically demands a follow-up. Perhaps all they lacked was a decent script. Well then, problem solved, because Disney just hired a new pair of script doctors to bring this sequel to life. Maybe. (more…)

There’s been quite a bit of backlash over the Batman Vs. Superman movie, and although nothing could come close to Ben Affleck being cast as the new Dark Knight, there’s been quite a bit of unrest amongst fans over Gal Gadot being cast as Wonder Woman in the Man of Steel sequel. Well, new co-star Amy Adams thinks that fans shouldn’t be so quick to judge the Fast 6 star on something as silly as body size. (more…)

The BastardCast vs. The Man Of Steel ZODCAST

ZODCAST-art

Look! It’s a bird… it’s a plane… it’s three fat guys talking about Superman!

Jason Tabrys, Jeremy R! Hudson, and Blastr’s Matthew Jackson join up for the latest, most epicest edition of the BastardCast since the last time they joined up for a podcast, and like Zack Snyder and The Man of Steel, they don’t give a damn about how much destruction they cause!

Cheap shot? #SuckIt because these guys are a porridge table of feels when it comes to Warner Bros. new superhero spectacle — one is too hot for it, another is cool to it, and Jason is a bowl of steaming rage.

What’s that, you want to know more about this thing you’re about to put in your ears? Fine, the guys are breaking down what they think Superman is, how they feel the filmmakers either flew or fell, Superman’s responsibility to humanity and the responsibility of the character to be accessible, and why this destroyed city is different than the countless others that have flashed on our screens.

Also on the cast: the kiss and quip among the ashes of Metropolis, the Will Arnett Engine, Dildo space ships, the best way to kill Kevin Costner (in a movie), Russell Crowe on a dragon, and Superman’s Vader “No!”.

All that and kltpzyxm on…

Film Review Man of Steel
The Bastardcast, we would use X-Ray vision in a pervy and evil way.

Just a week and two days (well, one day if you count preview screenings next Thursday night) till the new Man of Steel hits theaters, and the clips are rolling in…

In this one, which was shown on Jimmy Kimmel during an interview with Amy Adams who, if you didn’t know, plays Lois Lane in the film, is an extension of a scene from the most recent trailer, with Lois and Superman (Henry Cavill) talking in a cell as the Man of Tomorrow is taken into custody by the U.S. military.

So what else is going on? Let’s tune in to Kimmel, already in progress…

What do you Bastards think? Excited to finally see this thing already?

We’ve seen all the trailers and the other promotions, so let’s get into the good stuff and some honest to God clips from the Man of Steel. First up is a familiar scene to Superman fans, over-zealous reporter Lois Lane (Amy Adams) getting chewed out by her boss, Daily Planet editor-in-chief, Perry White (Laurence Fishburne).

I can’t say I’m entirely sure what it is that Lois is in trouble for, but its some damn good watching and the dynamic, at least, feels right. To my mind, this movie can’t come out fast enough at this point.

Enjoy!
