Snap Into A Slim Jim!

Welcome gaming bastards to another edition of G.R.O.W. This is NerdBastards weekly video game release list where we give y’all a heads up on what was released for the consoles and PC (and sometimes the Mac). We also cover downloadable titles as well.

This weeks release list is STACKED folks! As not only do we have quite the list for home release but the download side as well. From an arcade wrestling game to one of Koei Tecmo’s button masher, to a tactical shooter that features a known name in the title to a sequel from a cult series, there is pretty much something for everyone. And the same can be said about the downloads.

Once again, nothing new will be showing up at retail stores but over on the downloadable side, this week doesn’t disappoint as PC and MAC gamers will be able to get their hands on the first episode of Telltale Game’s episodic Back to the Future: The Game. Wii owners have Frobot (a robot with an afro) to check out while 360 users have A World with Keflings, in which you play as your avatar.

The PS3 got quite the releases on the downloadable side as they will have the release of the NEOGEO Station to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the NEOGEO console. The NEOGEO station will let gamers once again play (and pay again) some kick ass NEOGEO games SNK Playmore has released. Hell, they’re even releasing a sweet usb controller just for the ocassion (well, over in Japan anyways).

While there are ten games set to release for the PS3 version of these games (which will cost y’all $8.99 per title), the top three picks are: Metal Slug, The King of Fighters ’94, and Baseball Stars Professional (yes, a sports game is being recommended). Some of the titles will be also available for the PSP at launch and will cost $6.99 each.

That’s not all for the PS3 as the hilarious Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People, the Rampage inspired Eat Them!, the move enabled puzzle game Echocrome II, and the awesomely titled shmup, A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks! will be available tomorrow.

So what are y’all waiting for? Check out these downloadable titles and see if any of them will make your wallets cry!

Great Scott, TellTale Games finally released a trailer for the upcoming episodic download Back to the Future: The Game. All I can say is that it’s damn awesome how it looks.

As far as plot goes, it seems that Doc has gotten himself in trouble both in 1985 and in some other time and it’s up to Marty to find and save him. The first episode, titled “It’s About Time” will be released later this month and will be available on the Playstation Network, PC, MAC, and the iPad.

In February we’ll see episode two, “Get Tannen!” Episode three is set for a March release date and is titled “Citizen Brown.” In April, episode 4 will be released and is titled Double “Visions.” Lastly, the final episode is titled “Outatime” but no release date was given.

What do y’all think? Are any of you ready to travel in time with Marty once again or do you think this will end up like every other video game based on a movie?

A while back, Telltale Games gave the world a glimpse of it’s upcoming new game, ‘Back To The Future: The Game’. Thanks to GameTrailers a few behind-the-scenes video were put out showing the progress of the game so far. Everyone’s favorite duo will be back for a brand new adventure, well, almost. Marty McFly a.k.a. Micheal J. Fox was able to lend his likeness to the developers but was unable to lend his voice. That’s like buying the DeLorean and not going 88 m.p.h. Never fear, Telltale has found their voice for Marty McFly and he’s a spot on double (Just close your eyes and listen (or just watch this clip).

Sounds dead on huh? Sure, He doesn’t look a thing like Fox but he can pull off the classic “DOC!” without even trying. Telltale Games did a fantasic job hiring young A.J. LoCascio, he even fooled Christopher Lloyd and that had to be tough. The staff needs to give themselves a pat on the back for this one, it’s gonna be a fantastic game.

Along with releasing footage of their new Marty, Telltale showed off some of the backstory-along with some of it’s work-in-progress animation of the Doc speaking to Marty paired up with Lloyd recording in studio.

CHECK IT OUT AFTER THE JUMP
