Every day the internet produces an astounding amount of goodies and gems. Most hilarious, some amusing, but all worth at least a few seconds of your time. We here at Nerd Bastards try to bring you the best bits of news and nerdery the webz has to offer, with a bit of snark thrown in. But sometimes not everything makes the cut. Monday through Friday we’ll be bringing you our inbox leftovers, our forgotten bookmarks, the nerdy bits that simply slipped through the cracks. You can submit items to Nerdy Bits by emailing us at nerdybits@nerdbastards.com.

ABOVE: This full Predator body paint is awesome and all, but it disturbs me. All I can think is how unfortunate it would be to have sex with a female Predator. I’m assuming Predator pussies have teeth. So getting oral from one of these gals would definitely be toothy, come on, it’s unavoidable. [ObviousWinner]

Calvin and Hobbes can be blended with just about anything. They’re like the O+ of funny, the universal donor to nerdy comedy. And this mashup with Skyrim is perfect. (Nerd Approved)

This is simply kick-ass. It’s a live action stunt recreation of one of  Catwoman’s fight scenes from Batman: Arkham City by Thousand Pounds Action Company. They’ve also recreated Street Fighter and Naruto fight scenes. Watch this stuntwoman takedown street thugs with impressive combos, and yes, a whip. (Comics Alliance)

The Interwebz is a great place for nerdy art and the like. A lot of the time it’s fuckin’ weird shit like Steve Jobs and Jack Layton partying it down with Michael Jackson and Patrick Swayze and other shit like that. But there are a lot of awesome things that we see on a daily basis, and we’re lazy nerd bastards so we just round them all up once a week for your nerdgasm glory.

Starting off this week, we’ve got this kickass fan-made poster for The Avengers. No idea who did this, ’cause I found it cited under “Hobo123” of DeviantART, but that profile has no work on it. So I’ll leave it open-ended for now, but this is a pretty damn awesome poster.

Movie tie-ins are big business and seen as a win/win by the movie producers and the brand. These unholy unions are sometimes awesome, sometimes bizarre and almost always awkward. Guess which category Transformers and Hostess fall into?

The fine folks a Hostess are pro’s at geek marketing. If you’d picked up a comic book between 1975 and 1982 you would have seen the full page strip of Batman/Hulk/Superman/Spider man using a twinkie to stop crime. We’ll call that the good old days because friends, this Transformers promo isn’t as high class as those.

If you go to the Hostess website you can take part in this awesomely timed promotional tie into a movie that left the cheap theatres months ago. Enter your details and you can win an X-Box, cash prizes, games, movies, diabetes, etc.

Now on to the tasty polyurethane treats!

Chocwave? Oh I see what you did there, punny. So, Shockwave is shilling cream filled chocolate cupcakes with what appears to be unnaturally rad mystery topping cover with bits of glass? Mmm mmm mm. Leave it to a Decepticon to shred your insides. Feel Shame, Shockwave, shame… Wait, you’re a bad guy. This actually looks evil. Alright, as you were.

Wanna see the Autobot side of this? Are you ready? You better sit down and don’t drink anything ’cause there is a spit take worthy moment happening right about now!

Portal… With NINJAS!

Portal with the addition of ninjas would be — there’s no other way about it — fuckin’ legendary. I mean, really: adding ninjas to an already-awesome thing is clearly the formula for something legendary.

The mastermind behind this awesomeness is the dude from Gak Attack, who has brought us super entertaining and nerdy YouTube videos in the past. This could’ve done better with some more creative portal gun usage, but the slow-mo bits were cool and it’s generally pretty fun to watch. Check it out!

Now… where’s the cake?

The Interwebz is a great place for nerdy art and the like. A lot of the time it’s fuckin’ weird shit like gay Vulcan pr0nz. But there are a lot of awesome things that we see on a daily basis and we’re lazy nerd bastards so we just round them all up once a week for your nerdgasm glory.

First off this week is some paper art by Lucie Thomas and Thibault Zimmermann, who call themselves Zim and Zou. This collection, called Back to Basics, consists of models of retro electronics that are hand made with sustainable paper. Every scrap is saved for potential later use. It’s pretty fuckin’ insane. Check out the site for more pictures, and a video detailing their process.

More after the juuuuuuuump!
