joe-dirt-2

Now I’m sure a lot of you are asking yourself, “Wait, there;’s a sequel to Joe Dirt and we can’t get a sequel for Dredd?” I was asking myself that same thing, but then I realized that Joe Dirt does reside in a small corner of my drunken heart. Every time I come across it on some lazy weekend I end up watching it just to see Christopher Walken and David Spade, mainly Walken, but Spade is in most of those scenes as well. When I heard that Joe Dirt 2 was an actual thing and had an actual title Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser I figured I’d at least check out the trailer. Now, after Spade’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel discussing the sequels plot, I may just have to sneak a few beers into the theater and see it. (more…)

Peterpan-disneyscreencaps

Following up on their success last year with the live to air The Sound of Music starring Carrie Underwood and Stephen Moyer, NBC announced that their next musical theater revival would be the Charlap & Lee production of Peter Pan. Now we’ve already seen Girls star Allison Williams in costume as the titular lead, in keeping with the theatrical tradition of a woman playing the part of Peter, but now NBC has released its first image of Christopher Walken as the piece’s villain, Captain Hook. Walken will walk in the well worn books of Hook which have been put on by the likes of Hans Conried, Dustin Hoffman, Jason Isaacs, and Colin O’Donoghue. So how does he look? Well, look below to take a peak. (more…)

Every day the internet produces an astounding amount of goodies and gems. Most hilarious, some amusing, but all worth at least a few seconds of your time. We here at Nerd Bastards try to bring you the best bits of news and nerdery the webz has to offer, with a bit of snark thrown in. But sometimes not everything makes the cut. Monday through Friday we’ll be bringing you our inbox leftovers, our forgotten bookmarks, the nerdy bits that simply slipped through the cracks. Walken’s Wonderfully Wacky Zelda Walk-through

OK, it isn’t really Christopher Walken‘s voice in the video below, but it is a passable imitation. This is the knid of thing that this NerdBastard would like to see Walken do though. Much like his reading of the Night before Christmas or the dancing in Fatboy Slim‘s Weapon of Choice, if Walken could be persuaded to do a video game walk-through it would be an instant classic.

The creative forces over at Game Society Films brought us this little video gem. After watching the video you can shoot over to their Facebook page and check out the other videos they have.

CBeebies  is a channel, one of the only free on the BBC, for preschoolers where the final hour of every day is dedicated to bedtime. The end of the hour each night a celebrity reads a bedtime story.

Here’s David Tennant reading ‘Miki’, by Stephen Mackey. It’s pretty much the greatest thing ever.

Wasn’t that cute?

Other Doctor Who cast members like Alex Kingston, Christopher Eccleston, John Simms, Freema Agyeman and John Barrowman have also taken part in this tradition for the little ones. There was a video of Christopher Walken reading ‘Goodnight Moon’, but it’s safer to never leave your child alone watching that one.

The Walken Dead – They’ve Got a Fever

POYKPAC  (Pictures Of Your Kid Pooping And Crying) put together this Christopher Walken Living dead tribute video. I call it a tribute because that is the spirit in which I choose to view it. This NerdBastard can’t get enough cowbell. Even a poorly done Walken impression puts me in stitches, I just can’t help it. When someone makes the cowbell joke, all I can think of is that short shirt that Will Ferrell wore in that sketch.

The only thing missing from this video is the Walken Fatboy Slim dance. They needed a zombie flash mob in the street doing those moves at the end. Just imagine it, the Walken zombie horde moving as one, how could anyone survive that?
