Each and every week we scour the Internet for nothing but the best in nerdy art. We leave no digital stone unturned, we poke and prod every nook and cranny of the Interwebz. Why? Because we love you, and we love to bring you weekly feed of nerd art.

On with the dump!

ABOVE: Even though J.J. Abrams is now working on both the Star Wars and Star Trek it was the genius of Robert Shane to combine the two into one cool mash-up piece. Han really knows how to get the girl, even if can’t speak Klingon at least he knows how to speak blaster. Check out the link for the alternate Captain Kirk/Princess Leia design. [Geek Tyrant]

UPDATE: Twitter user @reks611 has won our giveaway. Congrats to him/her and a thank you to all those who participated.

I’m a very casual gamer. I do not have time, or attention for serious play. I get bored, or frustrated and toss games to the way side in favor of something that offers quicker gratification. This, however, was not the case with Dead Space.

I’ve found EA’s acclaimed space-survival-horror franchise (Dead Space 1 & 2) to be immensely entertaining and mildly challenging. They offer amazing graphics work, good story lines, intense kills and a decent amount of scares. Both games are nail biting, ear thumping, nerve freezing experiences. Engrossing, to say the least.

And, now, it’s time for round 3.

Dead Space 3 launched today, and it looks just as thrilling as the first two installments.

For those of you rushing out to get a copy, you may want to hold off, because, here at Nerd Bastards we’re giving away a copy.

What exactly do I need to do to win? Simple!

1. You need to follow Nerd Bastards on Twitter (@NerdBastards)

Here’s a synopsis on the game, followed by a trailer featuring a smooth tune by Phil Collins… because everything %100 better with Phil Collins.

Dead Space 3 brings Isaac Clarke and merciless soldier, John Carver, on a journey across space to discover the source of the Necromorph outbreak. Crash-landed on the frozen planet of Tau Volantis, the pair must comb the harsh environment for raw materials and scavenged parts. Isaac will then put his engineering skills to the ultimate test to create and customize weapons and survival tools. The ice planet holds the key to ending the Necromorph plague forever, but first the team must overcome avalanches, treacherous ice-climbs, and the violent wilderness. Facing deadlier evolved enemies and the brutal elements, the unlikely pair must work together to save mankind from the impending apocalypse.  For more information, and to purchase the game on Xbox 360, PS3 or PC, visit deadspace.com

We always thought that the Dead Space franchise would be less terrifying if you had a companion by your side. As it turns out, no… no it isn’t.

It’s still the same edge of your seat, white knuckle adventure into insanity it always was.

Visceral Games has released a new trailer that let’s us know  no matter how many people you have with you, the buddy system doesn’t mean anything in the decent into madness.

Clarke still appears to be batshit insane, I mean why else would the trailer focus on toy soldiers*(Editor’s note* Because toy soldiers are horrifying that’s why.)  and why would your co-op partner look like the necromorphs have taken hold of him? We are not ashamed to say we defiantly experience goosebumps during this video. Turn all your lights on a stay safe while you watch this..

E3 Gamez – RE3, DMC, DS3 and More

E3 is one of the most boner-inducing nerd-fests on the face of the planet.  In past years it has not failed to live up to the hype of all the wonderful toys it promises.  This year is no exception, as top video game developers push the limits and try to outdo each other.

Here are some sneaks at a few of the fine offerings that gamers can expect to see in the near future.

The new Resident Evil 6, pushing the zombie hordes to the point of world-wide invasion:

I must have missed a few years in RE development, cause when did they get this fkn epic?  I got pretty bored after the 2nd RE title, but this one makes me want to go back and try again.

Release Date: October 2nd of this year.

A gameplay demo for the new Tomb Raider origin game:

Again, a big Wow!  Quite the improvement over what I remember Tomb Raider to be.  Looks like a truly epic experience in gaming, not just one of another 50 shoot-em-up/stab-em-up first-persons that come out every year.

Release Date: Early 2013.

Dead Space 3 demo, showing the new co-op feature:

I’ve never played the first two in this series, but aside from the general aesthetics (which are very pretty indeed), this game looks pretty much like a dozen other shooters that have come out over the years.

Release Date: February 2013.

Here’s a little bit of the new Devil May Cry.

Apparently in this one you get to play an unlikeable, annoying douchebag as the main character.  I was never a fan of the original DMCs, but this one, aside from being slightly more shiny, looks pretty much the same as all the rest.

Release Date: January 15, 2013

Trailer for the Transformers’ Fall of Cybertron game:

I’m not sure if there’s anything more to this game other than blowing other robots up, but it looks pretty epic.

Release Date: August 28, 2012

And more exciting than most (at least to me) – Aliens!

The Aliens: Colonial Marines trailer (with a bit of interview at the intro.):

After viewing that, I have to say that I am not as impressed as I hoped to be.  The choppy combat looks several years out-of-date, though I guess they’ll be cleaning a lot of it up before the release next year.

Release Date: February 12, 2013

Another Medal of Honor game as well.  I’ve been away from this series for quite some time, but when did we stop getting to kill Nazis?  That was the only reason I played this game… oh well, guess the glory days are over.

And here is the trailer, complete with a very annoying soundtrack:

Release Date: October 23, 2012.
