Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2
In addition to being delicious (and equally bad for you – here, eat a weeks worth of sodium intake in one sitting!) Doritos brand chips are also known for their unique, and sometimes weird, marketing gimmicks. Take for example Dorito flavored taco shells at Taco Bell, which are delicious AF. Whereas the bad (the, I’m gonna die before I’m 30 if I eat this kind of bad): Dorito’s Loaded – a fried-cheese-style snack with a nacho cheese interior and a Dorito flavored breading/dusting on the exterior, sold at 711 convenient stores. When they’re not coming up with different ways to kill you with empty calories, they come up with things like the limited-edition Tostitos “Party Bag” equipped with a sensor that can detect alcohol on your breath. It also had an NFC chip that would hail you an Uber when you tapped your phone to it.
Now Dorito’s is doing something that really rocks. Literally. Doritos is teaming up with Marvel Studios to promote Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and fulfilling a need you never knew you wanted. (more…)
With Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 set to premiere next weekend, all eyes have seemed to shift towards the next big Marvel project. It was learned earlier that the fourth installment of the Avengers series will be shot separately from Avengers: Infinity War. However, what has many people buzzing is how Marvel is keeping it’s lips tight regarding the title of the movie. But it seems like Zoe Saldana may have missed the memo regarding staying hush hush about the title because she may have inadvertently let it slip during a red carpet interview for the GOTG Vol. 2 premiere. What could she have said that has some fans raising their eyebrows? Instead of calling it Avengers 4, you might want to start calling it by the actual title – Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet.
With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 set to kick off another flurry of superhero blockbusters (and possibly be the biggest/best yet if the early word is to be believed,) the films lead dancer/80’s music enthusiast, Chris Pratt, had a few things to say about what the other guys (Warner Bros. and the DC Extended Universe) are doing, and (spoiler) it kinda sounds like he might not be as critical as die hard fans might want him to be.
Yes, while the fan community seems to continue to divide, Star-Lord himself joins his GotG director, James Gunn (and arguably the majority of the movie going public,) in enjoying BOTH DC and Marvel. Pratt gave praise to the DCEU films while speaking with io9, granted he did have one very valid critique about one film in particular. (more…)
That’s a rhetorical headline obviously, since of course you do.
When we last saw Star-Lord/Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) he had finally unwrapped the gift his dying mother had given him to discover that it was a cassette tape, but not just any ordinary one. This was Awesome Mix Vol. 2, the follow up to what is undoubtedly them most durable string of magnetic media in the known galaxy since he had been listening to it on repeat for past 26 years or so, Awesome Mix Vol. 1.
So, what music does this mythical mix tape contain? Guardians of the Galaxy director, James Gunn, has finally unveiled the track listing for the the films upcoming sequel and it is absolutely perfect. (more…)
While James Gunn didn’t pull a Picard yell, he did set the record straight on how many post credit scenes there are in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. Check out his tweet below correcting a Screen Rant Tweet saying there are only four. Wait… only four, did we really just say that? It’s like the end of The Lord of the Rings series where there are four or five endings that keep leading to another ending. Everytime you got ready to get up it kept going and going. (more…)
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will open in theatres everything in just another few weeks, and you can cut the excitement with a knife. There are a lot of high hopes for the film, and that’s not just true of the fans, but with the critics too, so there was a lot riding on the first press screening for GOTG2 and the immediate reaction of some of the internet’s most well-known and trusted film experts. So what did they think? As you’ll see below, there’s a lot of praise, but be warned, there are still a couple of Doubting Thomases. (more…)
With less than 17 days, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 will hit theaters. The sequel to the 2014 Marvel Cinematic Universe surprise hit is expected to make a killing it’s opening weekend (minimum $150 million are some projections) and pretty much kickstarts the summer movie season. One very interesting thing about the movie is that James Gunn and the production crew have managed to keep most of the plot well hidden as most of the trailers did not give away “the whole” plot. We know a few details here and there for the film: Ego The Living Planet (Kurt Russell), Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki) and The Ravagers will be in the film. But other than that, it’s an open book. There were rumors that Sylvester Stallone will be in the film in an unspecified role. Some suspected he would be an extra Ravager, and other rumors had him playing a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy from the 31st Century (probably Vance Astro). It looks like we now know who he may possibly be.
The latest TellTale Game Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series hits tomorrow and the new trailer for episode one is ready for your perusal. TellTale has been a fan favorite for their The Walking Dead series and Batman: The Telltale Series takes on the Marvel Universe pitting the Guardians of the Galaxy against Thanos. Check out the trailer and game play video after the jump. (more…)
With each passing day, May creeps up closer and closer, and with it comes more news regarding the soon-to-be released Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2. In today’s roundup, preliminary reports are beginning to come in that this may be the biggest opening for a Marvel film. That’s saying a lot considering that Captain America: Civil War opened with $179.1 million last year. And even though the movie has yet to come out, word is that there may also be a Guardians Of The Galaxy Christmas special. So could you be seeing Groot wrapped up in Christmas lights this holiday season? Cross your fingers and read more after the jump.
Who is Sylvester Stallone? That’s a deep, probing psychological and philosophical question so let’s narrow this down: Who is Sylvester Stallone playing in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2? The man once known as “The Italian Stallion” has been known to have a substantial part in the Marvel Studios sequel for a while, but the mystery was second to that of Kurt Russell, who, as it turned out, was playing Star-Lord’s father, Ego the Living Planet. But with a month until the sequel’s release, it’s getting hard to keep secrets, and now we think we may know who Stallone is playing. (more…)
