News about DC Universe’s Harley Quinn animated series is starting to surface. Quinn’s new show seems to be one of the most anticipated original content coming out of the DC Universe. We already know that The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco is cast as Harley, LakeBell joins her as Poison Ivy, and Diedrich Bader comes in as Batman. Thanks to Bader letting it slip during an interview, he’s already done a session with the show’s Joker. The Joker should be very a pretty important part of the story. If used sparingly to strengthen the impact, the character could be a driving force for Harley, assuming they go with a more liberated, post-Joker-break-up-Harley. Who joins DC Universe’s Harley Quinn and the other incredible voice actors that have brought Joker to life?
Earlier this week the latest DC Universe animated feature – Batman: Assault on Arkham – released digitally and on DVD/Blu-ray. This one, however, isn’t tied to The New 52 continuity DC Entertainment and Warner Bros.’ Animation are building with films like Justice League: War and the upcoming Throne of Atlantis, but is instead linked with the Batman: Arkham video game universe. While at San Diego Comic-Con I participated in roundtable interviews with many of Assault on Arkham‘s creators and cast: director Jay Oliva, producer James Tucker, writer Heath Corson, voice director Andrea Romano, and voice talent Kevin Conroy, Matthew Gray Gubler, and John DiMaggio. Hit the jump for their input on making Batman: Assault on Arkham! (more…)
Stop what you’re doing. If ya got plans, cancel ’em. What you’ll be doing for the next hour and half is watching, but more importantly, listening to Billy West, Tara Strong, Maurice LaMarche, John DiMaggio, Kevin Conroy, Jess Harnell and Rob Paulsen read The Star Wars Trilogy as if it were a radio play as this year’s Emerald City Comic-Con.
THIS MIGHT BE THE GREATEST THING EVER!
And I’ve only watched the first scene where Vader interrogates Princess Leia. Oh, and to give you an idea how this goes down Tara Strong in the voice of Bubbles from The Powerpuff Girls is Darth Vader, Jess Harnell as Adam West is the Captain Antilles, Rob Paulsen as Pinky from Pinky and the Brain is the Stormtrooper, and John DiMaggio as Jake from Adventure Time is Leia.
Has you’re brain exploded from the potential for so much awesome? Yes? No? If not, then cool ’cause with your head intact you can starting watching it now,
