As we’ve finally arrived at the penultimate episode of Game of Thrones, to say it’s had mixed reviews would be a bit of an understatement… and whilst I am an avid fan still, a LOT of people have issues, with not only the season in its entirety, but also with this episode, and one character in particular… (more…)
Love or hate it, Game of Thrones is a phenomenon. Few shows in history can boast being this big. Even its mistakes become media controlling phenomenon. All shows have a few slip-ups here and there. You’d expect that from a show with as many moving parts as Game of Thrones. But last week’s coffee cup scandal had people in a tizzy. Seeing a blatant piece of the modern world in their medieval fantasy made some folks lose their minds. This certainly couldn’t be the only time a goof like this has happened on the show, so… why the fuss?
Game of Thrones is one of the biggest television shows in history. Love it or hate it, the likelihood of it being a topic you’ve talked about is pretty high. But this Sunday’s episode is likely to be the most talked about. It’s certainly the most anticipated. The entire series has been leading up to this moment. Battle of Winterfell. White Walkers vs Winterfell. Some major characters have had their storylines come to fruition in Season 8, and while it’s the last season, anyone is really fair game. Who will die? Who will make it through? Here we go over some statistics for Battle of Winterfell and make some predictions of our own.
Last season of Game of Thrones ended with a fabulous stabbing scene that left Jon Snow bleeding in the snow, surrounded by traitorous men of the Night Watch lead by Ser Alliser Thorne. Fans went ape-shite and the Internet followed. During the months between then, and last night’s episode, fans debated Snow’s fate, was he really dead, would he be brought back somehow? Now we know and Kit Harrington, who spent the summer repeating repeatedly that Jon Snow was dead, has a bit of an apology for fans.

Grim fantasy. Now there’s a term most nerds never expected to make it into the mainstream. By the early 00’s, if you ever told a fantasy nerd that the dark and pessimistic Song Of Ice And Fire would become a mega-hit series and make mainstream incest jokes a thing, you’d have been laughed off every convention but now, with Game Of Thrones ready to break new ground (what with the Song Of Winter‘s irrevocable delay) everyone is waiting for Season 6 to take the biggest narrative leap of faith yet! At least, if the recently released teaser is anything to go by…
With Winds of Winter officially and irrevocably delayed after a formal statement made by author George R. Martin, seasoned fantasy nerds of The Song of Fire And Ice series are considerably worried about the direction that the HBO mega-hit series, Game Of Thrones, might possibly take. Most fear that the story might diverge too much from the books and offer them a sub-par experience and others worry that the network might sacrifice a lot of the grim and gritty feel of the source material.
Thankfully, Sophie Turner (the actress portraying Sansa Stark) had great news for everyone involved as apparently, Season 6 promises a lot of really, really good things.
Spring is almost half a year away, but that doesn’t mean fans of the hit HBO series Game of Thrones have stopped wishing and waiting and hoping for that magical time of year filled with dragons and white walkers. The last season ended with an uproar when a main character and fan favorite was unceremoneously offed in the finale. Of course, this was not the first time such a thing had happened, so after the initial shock, fans broke into two groups: those who were sure he would return, and those who were sure he was dead. Basically, those who had read the books or had the theories explained by their friends, and those who live under a rock. In either camp, though, the minute the season five finale ended, they began counting down the days until the season six premiere. To whet the proverbial whistle, HBO just released the first teaser for the show, and among other things, it shows that Bran is a royal pain. (more…)
The folks over at HBO sure do know how to toy with our emotions. Game of Thrones fans were in a state of a frenzied mixture of disbelief and denial following *REDACTED* “death” in the Season 5 finale, despite the actor himself stating afterwards that, as far as he knew, the character was really and truly dead. Director David Nutter even confirmed they had killed our Dear *REDACTED*; even at the risk of breaking President Obama’s heart. And yet now, they’ve released a new teaser poster for Season 6 that has us all going back to the drawing board with our HE LIVES theories. (more…)

It’s no shock that the majority of Game of Thrones fans are still in denial over Jon Snow’s death. There are rumors abound about loopholes and plot twists that could bring him back for Season 6 of the show, which actor Kit Harrington (Jon Snow himself) has said he is not coming back for. However, all hope may not be lost for Snow lovers yet! Two different sources: Watcher on the Wall and Winter is Coming, have posted photos of what looks to be Kit Harrington (the photos are a bit blurry) arriving in Belfast; presumably for the first Game of Thrones Season 6 table read.
