Han Solo

But what will that movie look like? Lucasfilm’s top executive recently offered some insight. (more…)

That’s a nice picture of director Steven Spielberg from the set of Jurassic Park.” But today on Facebook Spielberg’s the most hated man in America for his alleged killing of a dinosaur and then posing next to the corpse like a big game hunter showing off his latest trophy. Apparently, there are many people in society that are both a) unaware that dinosaurs are extinct, and b) that a man named Steven Spielberg once made a movie called “Jurassic Park” that used puppet dinosaurs in a fictional tale about the creatures being brought back to life through non-existent cloning technology on an island that was completely made up. With Disney/Lucasfilm looking to capitalize off of the return of the Star Wars franchise, they have several projects in the works. One of the avenues that they will be taking in order to expand the Star Wars universe is in the form of the solo/origin/spin-off flicks. So far, the rumors have put Han Solo and Boba Fett at the top of the spin-off “to-do” list, which is fine planning for most fans, though many are concerned about what these extra films may do to Star Wars canon, particularly where it comes to the original trilogy. In order to address some of these concerns, the big cheese herself, Kathleen Kennedy had a few words to say. Check her response out below. (more…)
