Jesse Eisenberg‘s portrayal of Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice left a lot of fans disappointed. Words like “mis-cast”, “overdone” and “long-haired evil hipster” were thrown around, creating an uncertainty on whether or not Eisenberg would return to the role for Justice League. The actor himself didn’t even seem to have the answer; not even at the beginning stages of production for the DC heroes. It seems that the fog surrounding the matter has cleared, though, as Eisenberg enlightened us with some info this weekend at MCM London Comic-Con. (more…)

The pow-wow between Earth’s two mightiest heroes has been a point of contention and a source of endless hype ever since it was teased 3 years ago. [ABSTRACT SPOILER WARNING: THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS POSSIBLE BATMAN V SUPERMAN PLOT POINTS]
With Marvel already dominating the Box Office, it’s no wonder that DC should scramble into action with its next big cross over movie, Batman V Superman-Dawn of Justice. The mere mention of the movie’s development caused untold Internet hype, tipped millions of nerds to the breaking point when Ben Affleck was announced as the new Batman and has some of the more cynical among us worrying whether all this belly aching is going to be even worth it.
The movie promises to be the first step toward the first proper Justice League live action movie. According to the buzz created after the first appearance of Scaleless Doomsday McGee, fans speculate that Batman V Superman might tease into a whole lot of the DC trademark cosmology, all at once. Apparently, their suspicions were well-founded as the movie will indeed introduce another threat to the future Justice League in the form of…

Well, we finally got the new trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and, boy, was it underwhelming. Many fans have been expressing fears about DC rushing into things since the movie was announced. A team-up with Batman already when he hasn’t even been introduced into the DC Extended Universe? Still, fans were with Batman v Superman, because all of the footage seen thus far had looked pretty cool. The showdown between Batman and Superman on a rainy rooftop next to the Bat-signal set up great expectations for the movie. Despite some concerns about casting, Ben Affleck looks to be a very capable and appropriate Batman, bringing to mind Frank Miller’s stocky brawler, which is a Batman we’ve not yet seen on the big screen. Even Jesse Eisenberg, who is a complete departure from any sort of Lex Luthor known to anyone anywhere, didn’t appear to be completely terrible. Unfortunately, it looks as though our willingness to give DC the benefit of the doubt will not be repaid, as the new trailer makes it clear that every bit of interesting and compelling footage from the movie must have been used up already.

Today we get a quick glimpse at a very interesting-looking scene, with the promise of an extended view coming in just a few days. This one really does put the “v.” in Batman v. Superman! (more…)
As far as Jesse Eisenberg is concerned, next spring, in a movie called Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, he will be portraying a man named Lex Luthor. In his mind, “Lex Luthor” is a person, distinguishable from “Superman super-villain Lex Luthor”. Eisenberg explained to MTV how his own personal expectations for his performance of Luthor may differ from fans’ expectations, because he’s not portraying a “comic book character”, he’s portraying a deeply troubled and complex man.
Surprise! It’s an all-new episode with your favorite podcast personalities that aren’t actually famous or Chris Hardwick. Since last we left our plump buddies, Jeremy has become a totally hairless karate master and Jason has watched Double Dragon and subsisted on beard leavings. Enough foreplay, here’s what you’re getting yourself into: (more…)
As we reported at the end of last week, production has wrapped on Zack Snyder‘s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and now the spoilers are coming at us in like flies round s**t. There has been rumored plot points about potential major villains, and more has been revealed about Justice League characters and their potential story-arcs . Now if that isn’t bad enough, there are now spoilers about characters in the Batman universe that are not even included in the movie (…it will make much more sense when you read about it – if you decide to read about it!). To explain the logistics behind this would involve revealing a rumor that is based on another rumor, which is based on uncertain revelations (… are you still following us,?! it’s kind of like a ‘matryoshku’ of rumors – eventually you will get to the center of it all, then the movie wont be as fun…), so if you are alright with potential spoilers then feel free to read on, and if you are trying to avoid all SPOILERS before the release date of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, then you know the drill.
