Three deleted scenes from George Miller‘s Mad Max: Fury Road have surfaced on the Internet. While you might watch these and wonder why (Exposed Lady Parts) we put a NSFW (Not Safe For Work) label on in the post title. It would be just our luck to have your boss walking right past as you play it. We wouldn’t want to be that guy, that cost you, that job. So if you’re at work, wait till lunch, or take a bathroom/smoke break and kick it up on your phone while your boss watches it on his work computer. We all know they do it. (more…)

The Doof Warrior, arguably he’s one of the most memorable characters in George Miller‘s incredible masterpiece of movie mayhem that is Mad Max: Fury Road. Now, thanks to Funny or Die, you too can Doof it with the best of them. (more…)

The movie has been out a few weeks now, but fans have only scratched the surface of Mad Max: Fury Road. George Miller’s action fantasy is astonishingly dense for a big-budget spectacle, not only in its imagery and ideas but in the complex interplay between them.
One fan (Peter Bean @nerdfilmmakers via NerdReactor.com) has quite the interesting take. Namely with the movies so called villain Immortan Joe. In fact, if you think about it, he’s not the bad-guy at all. If you can ignore the whole keeping women as prisoners/sex slaves thing (which is bad. very bad.) Immortan Joe was simply trying to keep a fragile world and populace from falling further into a post-apocalyptic abyss. He had the brains, the vision, the fortitude and resources to keep humanity going. Everyday was a lovely day… until Furiosa went rogue and Mad Max showed up. (more…)
Patton Oswalt recently revealed that his appearance in George Miller‘s epic film Mad Max Fury Road ended up on the editing room floor. Not that it needs it, but I’m going to add my accolades to the reception of Mad Max: Fury Road. This. Is. Awesome. Although we’re mostly right to decry the seemingly endless circle of reboots, remodels and sequels that Hollywood inundates us with, Fury Road says that you can make something that feels familiar, but fresh and engaging and endlessly exhilarating at the same time. Just when you think that director George Miller outdoes himself, he outdoes himself again with seemingly endless action, no exposition, and a baroque sense of art direction. This is a huge summer movie in all the best possible ways. A victory for simplicity of purpose and flawlessness in execution. (more…)
