Maisie Williams

Maisie Williams, darling of the Internet, may have stuck her foot in her mouth in a recent interview with BBC Radio 1‘s Nick Grimshaw where she let the cat out of the bag about a Game of Thrones character, that hasn’t been seen since season three, returning to the series in the season six finale. The Game of Thrones’ spoiler snipers must have been napping or taking a smoke break because Maisie is just fine, although she is expecting a talking to by someone on the show or HBO.

Spoilers ahead, click-through at your own risk! (more…)

Maisie Williams is a darling of Social Media, if she’s not cracking you up on Twitter, Instagram or what ever platform is popular in that moment, then maybe she’s pranking fans at a local gaming shop, or perhaps she’s crashing a Game of Thrones viewing party with bags of snacks. That’s right, just last night, Maisie loaded up on goodies and picked a twitter posted viewing party near her and headed out. Maisie documented the night with a series of Instagram posts you can check out below. (more…)

Why You Need To Be Watching ‘Game of Thrones’

It is practically impossible to find a person in an English speaking country right now who hasn’t heard of Game of Thrones. The HBO show has taken western culture by storm in a way that is almost unrivalled by any other piece of modern popular culture. Based on the still unfinished series of novels by George R. R. Martin, the series has launched the fantasy genre into mainstream viewing in an almost unique way. (more…)

Maisie Williams from Game of Thrones is simply delightful. Her Social Media presence should be a rule book for young celebrities on how to handle fame and fans. This time she’s teamed up with NYLON Magazine to prank some Game of Thrones fans as they shop at their local gaming store. Just imagine walking into your local shop and finding someone very familiar looking behind the counter. (more…)

Let’s get something out of the way first: the New Mutants never had much luck when it came to live-action adaptations. With a blemish like the 90’s cringeworthy Generation X on their resume (one of FOX‘s earlier attempts to bring superheroes into the mainstream), you’d think they wouldn’t really try and bring back that particular team of teenage mutants, despite the considerable nerd-mythos that Chris Claremont has already set up. However, following Deadpool‘s success, the studio seem to be willing to give this mutant reboot another go…

Obviously, it’s going to be a slow news year for Doctor Who. It was previously announced that the tenth season about the ancient time traveling alien would be delayed until 2017, which will be highly eventful given that it will be the final season for showrunner Steven Moffat, and – possibly – the final season for current Doctor, Peter Capaldi. Still, there’s one final stretch of 13 episodes to get through, and you’re probably aware that when series 10 begins, the Doctor will need a new Companion. So the BBC is now shopping for someone to hangout in the TARDIS and go on wacky adventures through space and time, but are they already circling someone in particular? Possibly, at least according to rumor. (more…)

Doctor Who is currently filming its second season with Peter Capaldi as the good Doctor. Joining him for an episode or perhaps two is Game of Thrones fan favorite Maisie Williams. When this bit of casting was first announced, there was no word on what type of character Williams would play, but now thanks to some new on set pictures and video, we’ve got a much better idea. Apparently being a burgeoning bad ass in Westeros isn’t good enough for Maisie Williams, nor is, apparently, appearing on just one big TV show. The Game of Thrones actress has been cast for a guest starring role in an episode of the long-running sci-fi series’ ninth season, albeit as what, we’re not exactly sure. She could be a hero, she could be a villain, or she could be some random person that The Doctor helps. On the other hand though, Williams looks quite comfy at the controls of the TARDIS in the picture above, so it begs the question, are we looking at a companion in the making? After all, everyone has two franchises nowadays. (more…)

Arya Stark

Arya Stark has been spending most of the past few seasons on Game of Thrones on the run inboynito. Ever since fleeing the capital with the help of Yoren (Night’s Watch recruiter), by chopping her locks and disguising her as an orphan boy named “Arry,” she has been trying to make it home every since. Bumping into all sorts of trouble along the way including; Ser Gregor Clegane (becoming a cup bearer for Tywin Lannister), Brotherhood Without Banners, and Sandor Clegane, Arya eventually finds herself filling the shoes of her fake persona – becoming a hardened, brutal killer, doing what is necessary in order to survive. Throughout this whole period, Arya and Clegane become scavengers, and they aren’t exactly the cleanest of people travelling across Westeros. Futhermore, we are left at the end of Season 4 with Arya leaving an injured Clegane and aboarding a ship for that’s heading towards Braavos, and that only means one thing folks! (more…)
