Any button smashing fighter game is only as good as its story mode. With Mortal Kombat X, NetherRealm Studios’ next highly-anticipated installment in its legendary critically-acclaimed fighting game franchise, fans may feel indifferent.

The official Mortal Kombat X Gameplay trailer has hit the interwebz.  The trailer reveals that Kung Lao, Kitana, as well as a few new faces wil be playable characters. Fans will also be delighted to discover that Goro is playable as well, although you have to pre-order the game to be able to play as him. But enough about the characters – you wanna see some gameplay footage and feast your eyes on that ultraviolence you love so much, right? Well, hide your kids and hide your wives, because this trailer is super violent and gory.  Even by Mortal Kombat standards. (more…)

Fans of the Mortal Kombat video games have been waiting years for the next entry in the iconic series.  Well, it looks like they won’t have to wait much longer to dole out those Fatalities. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced that the NetherRealm Studios production, Mortal Kombat X will be released on April 14, 2015, and fans who pre-order the game will be cheering the return of a character that they haven’t seen in years. ‘Mortal Kombat X’ Kills in First Trailer

MOR-TAL KOM-BAT! Coming up on the annual tease for all things video game, the E3 Convention in Los Angeles, NetherRealm Studios has dropped their first look-see at the upcoming tenth Mortal Kombat game, Mortal Kombat X. The game will be released across most platforms – PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC – in 2015, but the general public and the media will get to sample the goods next week at E3. As a taste of things to come, the studio has released today a teaser trailer featuring an epic rematch between Sub Zero and Scorpion. Are you ready to take your first look at the game?
