The seventh season of The Walking Dead trudges on as the series continues to show the audience what is happening with all of the main characters since the bloodbath of the season premiere. The pace of the show is starting to bog down. It’s the 5th episode of the season and we are just now getting a look as to what happened with Sasha and Maggie. When we last saw them, Maggie was sick, both physically and with grief over the loss of Glenn. Sasha had volunteered to take her to get some medical attention from the doctor at Hilltop.
The Walking Dead continues its push into the Negan storyline as he and his motley crew pay their first visit to Alexandria. Some aspects of the visit were fairly predictable, while others were mildly surprising. Yet still, some moves were head-scratchingly confusing. It is understandable that the show has to hit its marks in order to further the story, but for those who even have a vague sense of what is coming, it’s hard to tell how long it will take things to play out. We already know that the show has been renewed for Season 8, but does that mean things will take on a slower, more deliberate pace? Granted, this is only the 4th episode of the season, but is two seasons too long for a build up to the inevitable confrontation? (more…)
The epitome of American late-night sketch comedy and variety performance since 1975, Saturday Night Live has made a reputation for itself by being current, topical and – most importantly – hilarious for over forty years. Graced by some of comedies finest writers and actors, its repertoire is already sealed in the history books of American culture and the show has not slowed for a moment in its decades on the air. This weekend’s episode boasted an appearance from none other than comedy legend Dave Chapelle and he made it his business to make sure that every viewer was reminded of his legacy. (more…)
If you’re anything like me, then you have spent the vast majority of the summer months discussing at great length all of the possible “what if,” scenarios about whose gray matter was going to see the light of day during the opening minutes of the Walking Dead season premiere this past Sunday. You also probably mapped out all the different paths the show would have to take depending on who they decided on. Some of you were way off, (you knew Daryl wasn’t going to bite it! Come on!) some of you were close, if not spot on. That’s all behind us now. Creatives Scott Gimple, Robert Kirkman, and Greg Nicotero have decided on the path they are going to take us on and the journey has begun. Tragically, that meant the brutal death of not one but, two beloved characters. Yes, they’re dead. No, this is not a dream. Their heads no longer exist. (more…)
Last night’s The Walking Dead season seven premiere was brutal. Almost as brutal as the six month wait to find out who Negan would kill. The Walking Dead production decided to film each cast member getting the “Lucille” treatment in order to hide which characters actually fell to the mighty swing(s) of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). Now one of those alternate versions has hit the Internet and you can relive the horror all over again.
*Spoiler alert if you haven’t watched the episode don’t click-through. (more…)
The last season of The Walking Dead introduced a character that made the show’s Governor look like Mary Poppins. For a show with multiple mid season cliffhangers, the AMC zombie apocalypse drama never really indulged itself with climactic end of season mysteries…….that was until Season 6 went and left fans screaming at their televisions in disbelief. (more…)
The season finale of AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead’ had everyone buzzing for a couple of reasons. First, we finally saw the long-awaited appearance of Negan (portrayed by Jeffrey Dean Morgan). Secondly, and what generated the most chatter, was its cliffhanger where fans were left to wonder just which character met their fate at the hands of this new bad guy, and his barbed wire-wrapped baseball bat Lucille. Time for Robert Kirkman to have some fun! (more…)
In a move that might be related to all those Walking Dead fans waving pitchforks and burning torches outside The Walking Dead offices, Executive Producer and Director Greg Nicotero just spilled the beans that might calm some of those angry Internet villagers. What could Nicotero possibly say that might reduce all that Fan based The Walking Dead Finale anger? It has everything to do with the Negan intro scene and Jeffery Dean Morgan letting the “F” bombs fly. (more…)
After last week’s cliff hanger, fans were particularly wigged over this week’s episode. Does Daryl die? Will Negan use Lucille to end him? Will it be Carol? How about Glen? What is wrong with Maggie and the baby? So many questions. The anticipation for this season’s finale is unlike anything fans have witnessed or felt for quite some time. There are spoilers galore so please, if you don’t want the episode to be ruined, if you haven’t seen it yet or you are still dealing with the emotions from the episode, turn back now. Spoilers in 5…4…3…2…1.
The season finale of The Walking Dead has aired and with it we have the much anticipated arrival of Negan, head honcho of the Saviors. The rumors have been flying for months and the internet has been a buzz with fan theories of who will meet their untimely fate.
Comic fans have been looking forward to Negan’s arrival with almost bated breath; almost immediately people began to hypothesize if the comic death of [REDACTED] would be fulfilled in the television show or if the producers would throw us another curve. After the dead or alive teaser of [REDACTED] in the midseason finale it only spun the theories more out of control. Now that Negan is here did the episode live up to the hype? (more…)
