Have you ever wondered what happened to America’s most infamous superheroes? Donald Soffritti has the answer. In his collection of humorous artwork featuring our long lost tight wearing crusaders, he shows us the inevitability of aging and all the unwanted, and even a little disturbing habits that come with it. Some are fat, some are crazy, and some can’t even control their bowels. Enjoy!

Ever wonder what it would look like to see some random battle droids just hanging out on the street? Or the Millennium Falcon whizzing by your house? Well recently Cedric Delsaux, a french photographer traveled to Dubai and took pictures for his new concept ” stART Wars”. It shows, what he thinks, Star Wars would look like in real life. He shows some very memorable characters including Vader, C3PO, and of course R2D2. Thank god there was no Luke ( sorry guys and gals he is a bitch) If only things like this could be in the real world. Because be honest with yourselves, if you saw an ewok at starbucks would you not poop in your pants? If only we were so lucky.

We here at nerdbastards love Zombies, never get sick of them. We totally dig it when pop culture gets zombiefied as in the case of Star Wars. Artist Matt Busch wondered what what Luke, Leia, Han, and the gang (along with the stupid prequel characters no one cares about) would look like as zombies. Sure the majority of these posters look like simple Photoshop jobs. All he really did was paint blood, add teeth and white out the eyes but the effect comes off wicked cool. Honestly, this is the best Jar Jar Binks has ever looked.

I’m a little confused on what precisely is going on here but regardless this Mario Samurai art is pretty freaking cool. As I think about this illustration a bit further my best guess would be that it appears that Mario is about to mount dinosaur Yohsi and then sodomize Bowser with his sword. Don’t you agree? Props to deviantART member xiaobaosg for creating this magnificent and bad ass art.

Memba the box art for the original Megaman? (included after the jump) Memba how ridiculous it was? Totally mislead the buyer as to what the hell they were about to play. I can’t say the following art print would have implied game play any better but it certainly would have helped sell more games or would this be a case of “Megaman Sells But Who’s Buyin?” See that was actually a little bit of a Megadeath Qoute. The band had these custom made by artist Basilio Mendez for their Ft. Lauderdale show which took place this past weekend. Because of licenseing issues we probably won’t see this awesome illustration on any other merchandise. So you’ll be lucky to find just the poster on ebay, at some insane price, I’m sure. You can see more of Basilio Mendez’s concert posters and other work (some of which is not safe for work) on his MySpace page, which, of course, automatically plays heavy metal music as soon as the site loads.

If only I had the patience to do something like this. I certainly have enough can’s of tuna fish (for some reason I keep buying it but never eat it) but certainly have way to much ADD to attempt contsructing a ginormous, pellet eating, Pac Man.
This bad boy was the highlight of this past years Canstruction. A charitable, international competition where “architects” and “engineers” meet to overcome the mutual construction of bold and creative structures made from cans of soda an canned food.
This Pac Man display is truly incredible and I top my hat off to genius’s behind it. However, if such things are possible why are we not seeing more creative food displays in grocery stores? Nerds like myself are wicked lazy and order” take out” more often than going food shopping. If I knew there was a F’N huge Pacman made out of cans of tuna fish at my local Stop and Shop I would go down and check it out, might actually buy something while I’m there.

Nerd artist and lesser known He-man fan, Jacob Borshad labored for a week in Nakatomi Print labs to bring the world his newest 8 color print- “The Sinking of the Oruko Ship”. Which apparently is a classic Japanese poem featuring a sea monster and a fishing boat. In this case the sea monster has been replaced by Masters of The Universe baddie, Mer-Man and has been illustrated in the style or Ukiyo-e. (Basically a poem or story accompanied to an Epic piece of art). The poem in this 18×20 print has been kindly translated by Mr. Borshad.
Mer-man rose from the murky depths,
He turned our ship over and ate it up,
The waves washed me to the rocks,
Where a shell diver found me,
And took me to her Grandfather’s hut.
I was ill for weeks,
She brought me hot green tea,
And seaweed soup,
With Urchins,
Fresh cut,
Plucked by her small ocean hands.
One day, she took me to the sea,
Where she unfurled her tail,
And swam away.
Whenever I hear of Mer-man attacking,
I think of her small ocean hands.
The print is available right now for only $30.00 but you better hurry because it is limited to a mere 40 prints worldwide.
You can pick one up at nakatomiinc

Have you ever wondered what a cartoon character would look like if he/she were humanized? Well, some people have enough creativity to try and create this human likeness and let’s just say they do a pretty good job at it. Some are incredibly similar and others are just downright creepy. Sometimes I don’t know what people are thinking by making these friendly cartoons seem like nightmarish horror stories gone all wrong. Check out these pics….

Unless you folks don’t know by now, I’m a full on He-Man and The Masters of The Universe fan. You know, the blond, muscular, “I Have The Power” dude from the classic cartoon and corresponding toy line? More so than not, people remember He-Man as being gay. With characters like Beast Man, Ram Man and ahem… Fisto, I can’t say I blame them. I’ve done all I can do to convince myself that He-Man is not gay. To accept it after all these years would perhaps make me question my sexuality. Well I might as well start batting for the other team because at this point there is no arguing against the rainbow-esque gayness of He-Man. Enter the art of Adrian Reimann. He has given He-Man and his fellow Master of The Universe sidekicks a modern make over; and by make over I mean a Marc Ecko, indie/hipster fashion motif. Ya know what, just bring on the cock cause there is no defending against this. As I post these pictures I cry but it is for your amusement, so enjoy.Click after the jump for more illustrations
