President Donald Trump has entrusted his son-in-law and senior White House advisor Jared Kushner to find a path to Mideast peace, but perhaps he should hire actor, comedian, and nerd president emeritus Patton Oswalt to do the job because if he could achieve peace amongst Hellboys, he can do anything… Alright, so there was never any real enmity between former Hellboy Ron Perlman and future Hellboy David Harbour, but Oswalt was there to make sure it stayed that way as the two actors dined last night and traded notes about being a big, red, government-funded demon monkey with a stone hand. MST3K Revival Adds Dan Harmon And Justin Roiland

I think it is safe to say that the Kickstarter started way down in Deep Thirteen is proving that there is a desire for more Mystery Science Theater 3000. With just over two days and one million dollars left in the fundraiser, it is at least confirmed that we will be getting 6 new episodes of riffing goodness and with each subsequent announcement of new cast members the excitement just continues to grow. We now know who will be the new Mads and their hapless victim, but little has been said about the writing staff, that is until now, and show creator Joel Hodgeson just dished up a juicy plate of fan favorites. the-karate-kid-1984

There’s always two sides to every story, at least that’s what they say. It appears that J. Matthew Turner  is one of those people who believe that old saying, and he decided to put together a video to illustrate his belief that Daniel LaRusso is in fact the real bully of The Karate Kid. That’s right, Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) of the Cobra Kai dojo is the one getting picked on, not Ralph Macchio. (more…)

If someone ever builds a theme park based on Hollywood, then the biggest, craziest roller coaster will clearly be called the M. Night Shyamarang.  The amount of ups and downs with this guy is unbelievable – and not just overall in his career, it seems like from day to day, you just never know what you’re going to get with him.  And does anyone actually know what the “M” stands for anyhow?   (more…)

Justice-League-Movie-Character-List

The Justice League movie may seem a fair way off yet. Its official release date isn’t until 2017, that’s two full years for those of us counting on our fingers, but apparently things are moving along nicely with the script. Perhaps a little too nicely! Why, and how, could this positive script process be a problem? Well, unlike the problems with David S. Goyer‘s rather disappointing script for Zack Snyder‘s Man of Steel, we’re hearing rumors that the main issue with the Justice League script is that it’s suffering from quite the opposite, a maze like overabundance of characters and situations. agents-of-shield-season-1-episode-1

It’s just seven more sleeps until Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns with all new adventures that will pit Agent Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his ragtag crew against a world that sees S.H.I.E.L.D. as the bad guy. We’ve seen a sneak peak, but now through the power of social media we get our first good look at next week’s season premiere. The show left a lot of dangling threads when it went on hiatus in May, and it seems as though S.H.I.E.L.D. is going to waste no time in dropping some new clues to those lingering mysteries. So what do the S.H.I.E.L.D. gang have in store for season 2? Let’s check it out. (more…)

USE THIS SCHIELD

The Marvel Cinematic Universe and its cohesion with television and film has its fine line, sure. But it’s also very impressive in how it manages to represent their coexistence effectively. Whether it’s making a TV star out of Agent Coulson, who was once just relegated to cameos, or dropping Sif or Maria Hill into episodes of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’, we’re always reminded that the worlds do collide in harmony. Well, if it ain’t broke, don’t beat it with an Infinity Stone, I always say. And because Marvel listens to me (huh??) let’s be prepared for an interesting appearance in the new season of ‘Agents.’ And by interesting, I mean retro. If you guessed Captain America, you’d be wrong. Close…but wrong. (more…)

Last January, right around the time when Tragedy Plus Comedy Equals Time was just days away from its bungled release on EPIX, actor and comedian Patton Oswalt spoke to The AV Club about the rich bouquet that is his collection of stand-up specials. In the interview, Oswalt detailed his plan to alternate fresh stand-up specials with books like his New York Times Best Selling essay collection, “Zombie Spaceship Wasteland”, and true to his word, Oswalt will release his next book on January 6, 2015.  (more…)
