Just in time to start your weekend comes the Captain America: Civil War blooper reel. There’s plenty to laugh about as just about everyone flubs a line sometime. Paul Bettney‘s Vision getting tongue-tied is absolutely fabulous. Apparently Paul Rudd is the consummate professional on set because he didn’t make the blooper cut although one would expect there are more bloopers on the DVD box set. Take a quick break from your Friday at work to have a laugh, your boss won’t mind, he’s too busy working up the nerve to ask you to work this weekend. (more…)
Ant-Man may have marked the end of Marvel‘s Phase Two, but now that everything is released on video, including the the limited edition, Amazon exclusive, Phase Two Blu-Ray box set, it really feels like we’re officially in Phase Three. Before you know it, we’ll be posting articles and reviews about the newly released Captain America: Civil War, talking about how amazing it was. But life is too short to be rushing into Phase Three. Let’s take a moment first to enjoy some of the moments in Phase Two. Especially as some new material and sneak peeks into the future were just released with the Amazon exclusive Blu-Ray set. Perhaps the most exciting new material is a deleted scene from Avengers: Age of Ultron where Thor and Vision have a prolonged fight. Let’s watch, shall we?
Comic book super hero The Vision made his cinematic debut in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Being thrown into the mix among characters already established across multiple films had made his introduction a challenging sell. Director Joss Whedon gave him a particularly “worthy” moment that instantly pushed the character over, cementing his place among the rest of The Avengers. What made him worthy? Well, that particular question was left unanswered. If you look, though, at what star Paul Bettany had to go through getting suited up as The Vision, you may have your answer. (more…)
You’ve seen him in a few movie posters. He was even teased in one of the films latest trailers. Now a new clip from Marvel’s Age of Ultron gives us The Vision is all his glory.
Actor Paul Bettany (A Beautiful Mind) was on BBC’s The One Show discussing his role in Avengers: Age Of Ultron and he brought with him the first clip featuring the enigmatic humanoid.
If you want to go into the film having the Visions reveal be a surprise, then you may want to avoid watching this. But, just like a drug addict who fell off the wagon (metaphorically) you know you just can’t help yourself. (more…)
Of all the reveals concerning the main cast of the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron (just three more weeks!), the reveal of Vision is the most recent. The android character has been a part of the Avengers in comic book form for decades, so to nerds of a certain persuasion this is going to be a pretty big addition to the repertoire of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now you may recall that last month a character poster was released for everyone in the movie, up to and including Ultron, but Vision was suspiciously absent. But now that he’s been shown in full courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, Vision can take center stage in his own piece of promo. (more…)
The preview covers for Entertainment Weekly‘s coverage of Joss Whedon‘s Avengers: Age of Ultron have hit the Internet and include the first full frontal Vision. That’s right, Paul Bettany‘s gone Full “Vision” Monty. (more…)
Oh my! What the…?! Oh boy. That in a nutshell is the new trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron. One of the most anticipated movies of the year gets even more anticipated with each passing trailer, this latest one being the third we’ve seen so far. If memory serves, this was supposed to premiere sometime during Thursday’s airing of the new ABC series American Crime (Yay, corporate synergy!), but like all things concerning The Avengers, the awesomeness of the new footage was too tremendous to contained by a silly thing like “official release dates.” So what can be expected as soon as you press play on the below video? Why ruin the surprise? (more…)
It is no secret that Vin Diesel likes teasing his fans with potential future film roles via social media. Thusly, ever since Guardians of the Galaxy went into pre-production, Diesel was constantly dropping hints that he was having meetings with Marvel. This led to numerous websites, blogs, and fans speculating as to which character he could possibly be in discussions to play within the Marvel Universe – and in particular, Guardians of the Galaxy, with the role eventually turning out to be Rocket Racoon’s partner in crime Groot. (more…)
Promo art for Avengers: Age of Ultron has debuted online featuring a good clear look at The Vision. The promo art surfaced after initially appearing at an International Disney event, and an instagram user (via CBM) managed to snap up a picture of the art work. One thing that can be said about The Age of Ultron is that there are plenty of new characters being introduced in the second installment of the franchise. We now have Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well as the focus of today – The Vision (played by Paul Bettany). So who exactly is The Vision? What are his abilities? Has he been altered in anyway during the transition from comic book to the movie? (more…)
The summer has brought us a lot of Avengers: Age of Ultron news in the forms of first looks at the new costumes for the returning heroes, and first looks period for new characters like Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen). But one new character’s been left mysteriously out of the mix. Perhaps because he falls into a bizarre nebulous area where it’s a new character played by an actor already familiar to the Avengers world, and the Avengers audience. So let’s cut to the chase: where is The Vision, the android character played by Paul Bettany? Is this him? (more…)
