Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is reportedly headlining a sequel to last years CGI-heavy disaster movie hit San Andreas with the action moving towards the excellently named ‘Ring of Fire’ in the Pacific Ocean. We’ll start the campaign for Johnny Cash to be on the soundtrack right here. (more…)

They are working overtime to convince us that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is not going to suck, aren’t they? But cynicism aside, this is the third featurette on the upcoming superhero film we’ve gotten and the movie is still three-and-a-months from being released. So what has Marc Webb and company got for us today? A segment called “Lights, Camera, Action!” Does it feature the lighting? No, don’t be silly. Is it about the type of cameras they filmed the movie on? Nope, which means by process of elimination, this one’s all about the action. I mean, “Action!” (more…)
Sony has released yet another trailer for Marc Webb‘s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 to the Internet. This time around it’s all about what Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) thinks about being Spider-Man. In the villain loaded sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man, the most villainous of all is Max Dillion, AKA: Electro (played by Jamie Foxx). As we’ve seen in clips and images so far, we know we will see two sides to Electro, the pre- and post-super-power version of him, which begs the question: How will Electro get his powers in the film? It you subscribe to the Daily Bugle then you’ll already know the answer, for the rest of you the potential spoiler filled reveal is below. (more…)
Spidey fans are abuzz regarding Paul Giamatti‘s upcoming appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 as Aleksei Sytsevich, aka The Rhino….
It could be the best or worst part of the highly anticipated sequel, depending on who you ask, and Sony seems to be banking on Giamatti’s drawing power: In a recent interview with Collider while supporting the upcoming release of Parkland, the acclaimed actor admitted that he’s signed a multi-picture deal. Rhino will definitely be appearing in The Amazing Spider-Man 3, and possibly 4–if 4 actually happens, that’s yet to be confirmed.
Giamatti has also hinted strongly that he’ll be participating in a Sinister Six movie–again, nothing’s been set in stone.
In any case, it appears Rhino’s involvement in ASM 2 will be relatively light (probably because Jamie Foxx’s Electro will be the principle baddie), setting the stage for a larger role in part 3.

There’s a new set of production stills coming out of Marc Webb‘s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 set, including one huge teaser to Spider-Man fan-boys and girls. We’ve still got a bit of a wait until the May 2nd, 2014 release date, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see some teaser clips start hitting the Internet in a couple of weeks.
Take a look at the gallery below, I think there might be something in the reflection of Stan Lee‘s trademark reflective sunglasses, but I can’t quite make it out, it’s probably nothing, they wouldn’t hide any teasers like that… would they?
