Welcome gaming bastards to another edition of G.R.O.W. This is NerdBastards weekly video game release list where we give y’all a heads up on what was released for the consoles and PC (and sometimes the MAC). We also cover downloadable titles as well.

Once again, nothing new will be showing up at retail stores but over on the downloadable side, this week doesn’t disappoint as PC and MAC gamers will be able to get their hands on the first episode of Telltale Game’s episodic Back to the Future: The Game. Wii owners have Frobot (a robot with an afro) to check out while 360 users have A World with Keflings, in which you play as your avatar.

The PS3 got quite the releases on the downloadable side as they will have the release of the NEOGEO Station to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the NEOGEO console. The NEOGEO station will let gamers once again play (and pay again) some kick ass NEOGEO games SNK Playmore has released. Hell, they’re even releasing a sweet usb controller just for the ocassion (well, over in Japan anyways).

While there are ten games set to release for the PS3 version of these games (which will cost y’all $8.99 per title), the top three picks are: Metal Slug, The King of Fighters ’94, and Baseball Stars Professional (yes, a sports game is being recommended). Some of the titles will be also available for the PSP at launch and will cost $6.99 each.

That’s not all for the PS3 as the hilarious Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People, the Rampage inspired Eat Them!, the move enabled puzzle game Echocrome II, and the awesomely titled shmup, A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks! will be available tomorrow.

So what are y’all waiting for? Check out these downloadable titles and see if any of them will make your wallets cry!

BTTF Game

Ladies and Gents, get ready to play as Marty as Telltale Games has finally revealed the release date for the upcoming episodic Back to the Future: The Game. That release date is December 22nd for the PC and MAC. PS3 and iPad users will have to wait just a little bit to get their time traveling action on.

Also, if you pre-order the game over at Telltale Games’ site, you get special access to a forum where you get to talk to the game developers, you get a special collectors DVD (in which you pay for the shipping and handling), and also get Puzzle Agent for free. Not only that, every pre-order will donate $1 to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

So to make us even want the game more, we get a clip about Doc Brown and how the game will give us an origin story of Marty meeting up with a 17 year old Doc. Check the video out for details as well as Christopher Lloyd talking about the character. Can you imagine it now, having both young and old Doc screaming “Marty! Marty!” I think my brain may explode.

Well, to be honest, the next few weeks will be focusing more on downloadable titles due to nothing good is really coming out on the home consoles. But there are a few of good downloadable titles, such as the X-Men Arcade game for the Playstation Network and XBox Live Arcade.

Other notable releases are: The World of Goo for the iPad, Marvel Pinball for the Playstation Network, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam expansion for the PC (Steam & EA Store), and the DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue expansion for the Mac.

Also, since I didn’t mention it last week because I’m a fat idiot, this past Sunday, we saw the release of Super Mario All-Stars for the Wii. So what are y’all waiting for? Check out these downloadable titles and see if any of them will make your wallets cry!

Seems like Rocksteady Studios wants us to get ready for something as they release a short teaser for the upcoming Batman: Arkham City video game. As the title says, the clip really is a teaser but we still get to see the dark knight kick some ass.

It seems that this might be a little preview of a longer trailer that will be reveal this Saturday on Spike’s VGA’s. Sure, you might have to endure some stupidity with the show (at least Neil Patrick Harris will be hosting) but it may be worth it as I know most of us is excited for the sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Welcome gaming bastards to another edition of G.R.O.W. This is NerdBastards weekly video game release list where we give y’all a heads up on what was released for the consoles and PC (and sometimes the MAC). We also cover downloadable titles as well.

This week we see the release of the new expansion for World of Warcraft that will shake EVERYTHING up and give the six year old game a new life. We also see the release of TRON: Evolution that plays as prequel to the upcoming TRON: Legacy film and word is that it’s not that bad of a game like most movie-based games.

Also, a quick side note, this time to Microsoft: Really? Another “Doritos” game for the 360? Another one!?! Why don’t y’all make a sequel to Yaris then? I’m sure most folks forgot about that crap anyways.

So what are y’all waiting for? Check after the jump to see if there is anything coming out that will make your wallets cry!

back-to-the-future-game

Great Scott, TellTale Games finally released a trailer for the upcoming episodic download Back to the Future: The Game. All I can say is that it’s damn awesome how it looks.

As far as plot goes, it seems that Doc has gotten himself in trouble both in 1985 and in some other time and it’s up to Marty to find and save him. The first episode, titled “It’s About Time” will be released later this month and will be available on the Playstation Network, PC, MAC, and the iPad.

In February we’ll see episode two, “Get Tannen!” Episode three is set for a March release date and is titled “Citizen Brown.” In April, episode 4 will be released and is titled Double “Visions.” Lastly, the final episode is titled “Outatime” but no release date was given.

What do y’all think? Are any of you ready to travel in time with Marty once again or do you think this will end up like every other video game based on a movie?
