As everybody was already aware, Jennifer Lawrence will be reprising her role from X-Men: First Class as Raven Darkholme, AKA Mystique (the only character in comic book history whose birth name is cooler than their “super” alias) in the upcoming X-Men: Days Of Future Past.
Below, we see Miss Lawrence on set in full Mystique regalia. To be honest, her portrayal of the shapeshifting mutant was one of the few things about First Class that I didn’t care for (that, and January Jones totally phoning it in as Emma Frost).
However, I’m liking her look in this film better somehow…I couldn’t tell you WHAT about her character design in DOFP is superior, but I like it a lot, and I have high hopes for both the character and the film.
Lawrence is joined in some of these photos by a woman who looks like the 1970s incarnate. Fans speculate that this could be Misty Knight, though if you’re not big into the X-Men comics, the first names that pop in your head will likely be either Foxy Cleopatra or Pam Grier, depending on your age:
Another day, another collection of photos snapped on set for X-Men: Days of Future Past. These ones, surprisingly, were’t shared by director Bryan Singer, and maybe because this is the kind of shooting he’d like to keep under wraps. The gallery below gathers photos featuring a fight scene between Nicholas Hoult, in full-on Beast mode, and Michael Fassbender‘s Magneto. Clearly, there’s still some bad blood between the two. Possibly due to Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) – she makes a brief appearance here – dumping potential-boyfriend Beast for a chance at something with Magneto? It would sure add a personal beef to their fisticuffs.
While Captain America: The Winter Soldier is filming in Cleveland, Ohio, we’ve got some set pictures and video clips for y’all. You’ll catch a few peeks of Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson, their stunt doubles, a flipped bus, a car on fire… y’know, the usual.
Hit the jump to see the goods. Or, well, you know what I mean; we’ve already seen “the goods.” (*cough*ScarlettJohanssonpictures*cough*).

What did X-Menfans do before Twitter? And who needs internet spies when you have Bryan Singer, the director himself, sending out regular tweets of photos and updates about Days of Future Past?
To wit, a pair of telling new photos were recently tweeted by Singer from the set of Days, one of them doesn’t spoil much, but shows a returning cast member in full (lack of) costume, and the other may tip off the observer as to what role a new cast member may play in the drama. So does it? Well, we’ll let you be the judge.
Yes fans, its the image of Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique that way we’ve all wanted to see her…
Next up, we have Singer conferring with Peter Dinklage between takes on set. The set looks like the a private plane, and Dinklage looks like he’s ready to sail out with the tune fleet. And what’s the deal with that mustache? Let’s have a look:
The folks at Blastr seem to think that this is confirmation that Dinklage is playing Boliver Trask, inventor of the Sentinels. Did he have a mustache? Does it even matter? And why haven’t you scrolled back up to blue naked Jennifer Lawrence again?
A new video and pics have come to us today of The Killing star Joel Kinnaman as Officer Alex Murphy in the upcoming Robocop remake. This is the best look we’ve had yet of the new Robocop on set in Vancouver:
Along with Kinnaman in the title role, Robocop stars Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Kenneth Williams, Jennifer Ehle, Jay Baruchel and Abbie Cornish. It’s due in theatres February 2014.
These aren’t our first photos from the set of Thor: The Dark World, but they offer our first look at Malekith the Accursed and his army of Dark Elves. That’s former Doctor, Christopher Eccelston under all that armor and two-toned face makeup. I can barely recognize him! Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is here too, wearing his full Asgardian armor and looking a little worse for wear. I’m guessing it’s been a tough day introducing Elves to the business end of Mjolnir.
Check out a few of the shots here in our gallery, and see more at Splash News courtesy of photographer Paul Hennessy.
What do you think of Malekith and his Elves? I must admit they look a little silly, but they’re not really meant to be seen in such harsh daylight without any CGI, I’m sure. In fact it looks like Eccelston has a couple black dots on his face which is commonly seen on actors who will require some post, CGI work. Wonder what they’ll be adding in digitally?
Are you guys pleased with what you’re seeing here?
While filming is underway for Kick-Ass 2 we’ve been given glimpses of Mother Russia, Hit-Girl’s new ride, and now we get our first look at Donald Faison in his Dr. Gravity gear plus Clark Duke as Battle-Guy and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kick-Ass. Check ‘em all out in the gallery below.
You may have noticed we also get a glimpse of Remembering Tommy, a husband and wife team fighting crime in memory of their kidnapped son, and Insect Man without his mask. We’re also awaiting our first look at Jim Carrey in costume as Colonel Stars. But all in all I have to say the movie costumes look pretty faithful to the comics. Remembering Tommy is a little more low key, but otherwise they all look smashing. What do you guys think? Who are you most excited to see in Kick-Ass 2?
We’ve been getting a lot of spy photos from the in-production seventh season of Doctor Who – from the coast of Spain to the streets of New York – but these may the most ominous yet. Hit back on your browser now if you do not want to be spoiled because these pictures, from the Who set in Wales, bare some really ominous undertones.
Ready.

So yes, these pictures feature The Doctor (Matt Smith), Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) and River Song (Alex Kingston) at a graveyard, and Mr Pond, Rory (Arthur Darvill), is nowhere to be seen. What is going on?! Snoop through these pics courtesy of a paparazzo from The Daily Mail (more pictures are over at The Sun) to see for yourself.
Are you now scared for Rory? Or has his constant, repeated deaths been laying the groundwork for this all along?
There have been new pictures posted on the official Ender’s Gameblog, and fans of Orson Scott Card‘s books are all creaming with excitement! Especially given that the film won’t be released until November 2013, a little bit goes a long way.
