A New Look At and Details About ‘Terminator: Genisys’

I hate to say this, but this new information about Terminator: Genisys actually has me intrigued. I know! I’m so gullible. Anyway, we’re starting to get some legitimate plot details about the next phase in the Terminator franchise, Genisys, which comes out next summer and, if all goes according to plan, it will be the first in a new trilogy of Terminator films. A lot has remained unknown about the film, including where in the Terminator timeline the movie will fit, and what role Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s paradoxically Old Terminator will have in it, but this new information from a very reliable source makes me wonder if that Terminator resurgence just might be in the cards after all. Or, you know, gullible. (more…)

Something like this was bound to happen, the Internet spent a week worrying it self to death over what Nathan Fillion‘s cameo in James Gunn‘s Guardians of the Galaxy would be. Now, with the release of the UK Press Kit, we know all the who and what of the cameos, if we don’t know exactly where those will fit into the movie. I didn’t want to click it and find out, but after about 20 seconds of soul-searching, I crumbled so we could bring it to you here.

Last chance…. proceed at your own spoilery risk. (more…)

The BBC continues to shove its fingers into the Internet dike that is spraying Doctor Who leaks and threatens to flood the whole series. First is was scripts, now it’s a rough cut video of the first episode! What next, we get leaks from the Doctor Who movie? Many of you might be worried about spoilers, but we’re gonna be careful to not reveal anything and won’t be posting the video here. We do have a fan made opening that is said to be part of the inspiration for this season’s opening credits. (more…)

Next year at this time, Marvel will have us right where they want us: sandwiched between Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man. Apropos then that we should get two doses of spoilery goodness about those films in one go because why get spoilers for one huge blockbuster when you can get spoilers for two for the same price. Underline that word spoiler because if you want to be sitting in the movie theater a year from now fresh as the proverbial daisy, then you way want to bail. For the rest of you, keep reading to learn new details about your Marvel movie future. (more…)

Game Of Thrones (2012)

Lena Headey (a/k/a Cersei Lannister on HBO’s hit fantasy series Game of Thrones) is the queen of dropping spoiler hints via her Instagram account. That major death that just occurred this week? Yeah…she spoiled that TWO MONTHS AGO (with quite the cutesy little pic of Pedro Pascal). Now she’s at it again, blowing the spot of what I’m guessing to be the final shot of Season Four. Read on…if you dare. (more…)

The trend lately is to make your micro-budget indie and then get promoted right to franchise film stardom as a director. Gareth Edwards just pulled it off in spades with Godzilla, following his tiny, laptop-effects-infused mini-epic, Monsters. Now Colin Trevorrow is making the jump from cutesy Mark Duplass/Audrey Plaza time travel rom-com (Safety Not Guaranteed) to bringing back the paleolithic theme park Steven Spielberg himself made famous. But what is Trevorrow’s fourth Jurassic Park film even going to be about? Well it seems like we’ve gotten some details today that may (or may not) completely surprise you.

It’s May 2, and summer has begun! Not actually, but in box office terms, yes, the summer movie season has officially kicked off with the release of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. But since the fan community has likely already rendered judgment on that effort, let’s flash forward a couple of weeks to the release of the next big comic book movie – X-Men: Days of Future Past. And since the good people at Fox, and Norton Anti-Virus for some reason, seem to have read our minds we have two new X-Men clips to unfurl before your disbelieving eyes. (more…)

In-jokes are all the rage these days, a fun way to acknowledge that your cast has a life outside the movie you are presently seeing them in, and probably few actors lend themselves to the in-joke better than Samuel L. Jackson. The actor has had roles big and small in a great many of the most iconic movies of the last 20 years, but perhaps none are more known, or quotable, than Pulp Fiction. It would not be out of the question to say that the Quentin Tarantino movie made Jackson a star, and it did so with one monologue in particular. Jackson’s new movie, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, paid tribute to it one blink-and-you’ll-miss-it scene, and the film’s directors, Anthony and Joe Russo, recently explained how and why they decided to do it. Spoilers follow. (more…)

A little over a week ago, we witnessed the regeneration of The Doctor into his twelfth incarnation, and the course is set for the next season of Doctor Who as Peter Capaldi now takes up the role. Now, with several months till the series 8 premiere, we have nothing to do but speculate about what the future of Who may entail, and Steven Moffat is helping us out by feeding the beast.
