Star Wars Rebels

Star Wars Rebels has become a fan favorite show among the legion of Star Wars fans. The show largely filled the gap that was left after the cancellation of Star Wars: The Clone Wars (which was rushed off air so quickly the final season became a Netflix exclusive). The show is comprised of largely the same team, following the same art style who have actually managed to close a few plot threads from the other show—however, while Clone Wars followed young Jedi padawan Ahsoka Tano and her master Anakin Skywalker between the Episode II and III films, the new series is set years later, showing the formation of the early Rebel alliance pre-Episode IV.

Now we have our first look at Star Wars Rebels Season 4, which promises to once again prove that some of the best Star Wars stuff happens outside of the movies.  (more…)

Just when Ben thought he was out, Maul drags him back in. Seriously, didn’t he cut that dude in half? It’s hard not to be impressed how the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels writers managed to bring back Darth Maul while keeping him so fraking cool. Now it looks like we’ll have a battle no one could have imagined back in 1999 as Darth Maul comes out of the desert to face his most hated enemy. (more…)

Samuel L. Jackson is having none of your Mace Windu is Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ Supreme Leader Snoke fan theories. Jackson has his own theory that Windu wasn’t killed by Palpatine and survived that long fall (and losing his hand) because Anakin had the same things happen to him as well as other Jedi and they lived. Jackson makes a good case and fans would go crazy to see Windu return to the big screen, or to the animated side on Star Wars Rebels. Lucasfilm and Disney should make that happen. Star Wars Rebels returns with its third season this weekend on Disney XD, which may present you with a dilemma. Perhaps you’ve been a fan from the start and you’ve diligently watched every episode of the series, but the season two finale was back in March, and you may have long term memory issues. Or to look at it another way, perhaps you’ve heard a lot of good things about the show, and you want to catch-up but are too lazy or don’t have enough time to review the first two seasons of the show in their entirety.
