With just about two months until the November 8th premiere of Marvel StudiosThor: The Dark World we should see a lot more clips, interviews, and other production treats soon. Let’s start the whole thing off with a new trailer! It’s got everything we’ve been waiting for as the $h!ts about to hit the fan in good old Asgard as those dastardly Dark Elves do Malekith’s dirty deeds.

Everyone is back for this sequel, Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi ( The new Fandral), Tadanobu Asano and Jaimie Alexander with Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins as Odin.

I’ve got to say that IMHO and from what I’ve seen, Tom Hiddleston is going to steal the show in this movie. I can’t wait to see more of Loki and Thor, plus Loki and all the other cast of characters. And don’t forget Odin’s wife Frigga, it looks like she might get a great scene to throw down against some Dark Elves.

Take a look and let us know what you think about the trailer below.

Entertainment Weekly has snagged the latest movie poster for Thor: The Dark World. There’s plenty to look at with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Jane (Natalie Portman) all snugly, Loki ( Tom Hiddleston) all smirky, Odin (Anthony Hopkins) all knowingly knowing, Hiemdall (Idris Elba) standing tall and standing guard, and don’t overlook Sif (Jaimie Alexander)  & the Warriors Three Fandral, Volstagg, Hogun (Zachary Levi, Ray Stevenson, Tadanobu Asano) all attacky and action bound.

There’s still a couple of months until the November 8th release date for Thor: The Dark World, so we’ll be getting a lot more looks at the production and how it ties into the other Marvel Movies coming out later this year.

You can also see Malketh’s (Christopher Eccleston) face in the top background while his minion army of Dark elves threaten to overwhelm Thor and Asgard. What we haven’t seen yet is Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Kurge, that’s what I’m really interested in seeing next, as he should have a knock down drag out fight with Thor at some point in the movie.

Will you be in a theater seat on opening weekend?

Official ‘Thor 2’ Plot Synopsis Revealed

I’m fairly sure, anyone that reads Nerd Bastards, or keeps up with comic book movie news, knows the premise of Thor 2. Evil elves fuck shit up… Thor and crew realm hop and save the universe from going to hell.

Reading an official plot synopsis at this point seems, well, rather pointless. Still… if you want read it, we got it.

The plot outline was revealed today at New York Comic Con.  As suspected, it confirms the Alan Taylor-directed film will include all of Norse Mythology’s Nine Realms, and a glimpse of the villain(s).

Official Synopsis:

Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano and Jaimie Alexander with Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins as Odin, “Thor: The Dark World” is directed by Alan Taylor, produced by Kevin Feige, from a story by Don Payne (credit not final) and screenplay by Christopher Yost and Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely (credit not final) and is based on Marvel’s classic Super Hero Thor, who first appeared in the comic book “Journey into Mystery” #83 in August, 1962.

“Thor: The Dark World” is presented by Marvel Studios. The executive producers are Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Stan Lee, Victoria Alonso, Craig Kyle and Nigel Gostelow. The film releases November 8, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures

Actually, having read that, I think Thor 2 might just be the biggest solo film since Iron Man 1. Just get rid of Jane Foster and we good!
