When we last left the movie Superman, he was dead. Spoiler alert, but the Man of Steel, as portrayed by Henry Cavill, was killed in his heroic battle against Doomsday at the end of Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice. But because the world needs a Superman, it fell to TV’s Supergirl to fill the void. In the second season premiere of the CW superhero show, Teen Wolf co-star Tyler Hoechlin appeared as the titular character’s cousin, and such was the tremendousness of the appearance that Hoechlin will be returning to the show in time for the season finale. The fact that the CW renewed all it superhero shows – Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow – five months in advanced of when network schedules are announced in May, sends a particular message about how much they like being in the hero business. Still, there’s one day of the week where the CW doesn’t have a superhero show, which is starting to feel like a grave oversight given how successful the other four are. The Holy Grail of Nerd Cinema….the team-up we always thought would remain the province of comics, cartoons, and video games–but would NEVER actually happen in the movies–is upon us!
There will be a Superman/Batman movie in 2015! Creatively titled: Batman Vs. Superman, it’s apparently the sequel to the recently released Supes reboot Man Of Steel. That means Henry Cavil will once again be donning the red and blue super-suit….

Here’s ten we think would do nicely:

Cosmic Book News is reporting that an unnamed source from within DC Entertainment is saying that a certain TV actor will soon screen test opposite Henry Cavill for the role of the caped crusader.
Rumor revealing photo up after the jump. (more…)
