A Super-sized Graphic Novel


Morgan Spurlock, the mastermind and director behind “Super-Size Me,” is teaming up with Dark Horse Comics to produce an original graphic novel as a companion to Spurlock’s 2004 documentary.

The book according to ICv2, will be written by Spurlock and penciled by various established and up-and-coming artists. The book itself will be titled, “Supersized: Strange Tales from A Fast Food Culture,” will tell strange, bizarre tales about the U.S.’s obsession with fast food. MC Super-Size Me, a character showcased in the promotion for the book, serves as a type of crypt keeper not unlike the character from “Tales from The Crypt,” introducing each individual story and commenting on it.

The graphic novel is stalted for release sometime in spring 2010.
