Showbizspy.com is reporting that sources inside the Batman 3 movie production say that Christopher Nolan is planing to use unseen footage of HeathLedger’s Joker from Batman: The Dark Knight in the upcoming Batman: The Dark Knight Rises.

“The idea is to use these fragments of cut scenes and use CGI to have The Joker appear one last time,” reveals a movie insider.

“Chris wants some continuity between movies and for the franchise to pay tribute to Heath and his portrayal of the Joker.

“It would only be a fleeting moment in the movie and would only be included with the full consent of Heath’s family.”

It’s been done before, in Superman Returns with Marlon Brando.  No one is ready for a “new” Joker yet, no matter how well acted.  Using the unseen footage of Ledger would make a great transition piece to link the two movies.  Knowing Nolan’s work and his respect and feelings for Ledger leads one to think that if this happens, it will be done well.  (No different actor’s body under the head of Tony Soproano’s mother for instance.)

What are your thoughts on this kind of thing?  Yea, or Nay?
