Another new clip from The Hunger Games has hit the Internet and it features Donald Sutherland’s President Snow sharing a conversation with Wes Bentley’s Seneca Crane just prior to the 74th annual Hunger Games.

What’s truly interesting about this scene is that it’s not in the book. Although surely a scene such as this took place in the contest of the story, it’s interesting that Gary Ross is not slavishly sticking to the source material when it comes to scenes that will keep the storyline and pace of the movie moving.

Directed by Gary Ross, the film also stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Toby Jones, Alexander Ludwig, Isabelle Fuhrman, Amandla Stenberg and Stanley Tucci.

Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the evil Capitol of the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. A twisted punishment for a past uprising and an ongoing government intimidation tactic, The Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which “Tributes” must fight with one another until one survivor remains.

What did you think about this scene? It certainly adds some depth and another layer of terror to President Snow’s character.
