There’s more than just a new trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi coming out of this weekend’s Star Wars Celebration in Orlando. You might have missed this little gem, the deleted animated scene from Clone Wars that explained how Boba Fett’s helmet got that distinctive golf ball sized dent. Wait some of you are saying, Darth Vader dented Fett’s helmet in Enemy of the Empire. Well as you know that is all now considered Star Wars Legends and not canon. This new clip that you can see below was to be the new official version. Check it out below.

Dave Filoni and Pablo Hidalgo premiered the clip yesterday in the panel Animated Origins and Unexpected Fates.

Not bad overall, and it fits the backstory the powers that be are giving Boba Fett about his training. Cade Bane is certainly the villain to contend with and his death by the hand of Fett would help Fett’s legend begin to grow in the dark alleys and bars where all the more wretched hive of scum and villainy hang out.

What do you think?
