Simon West To Helm Historical Fantasy ‘War Wolf’

Simon West - War Wolf

Simon West, best known for directing Con Air, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and The Expendables 2, has been lined up to oversee forthcoming fantasy epic War Wolf. A 14th Century-set tale of derring do, castles and knights, it centres around the nightmarish ‘Loup de Guerre’, the ferocious War Wolf legend come to life in the middle of a war between English and French, stalking and killing soldiers from both sides. It’s one month before John F Kennedy is due to be gunned down in Dealey Plaza and Jake Epping’s plans are in disarray. He’s spending most of his time looking after the injured Sadie back in Jodie, leaving the surveillance and sheer monotony of constantly watching Lee Harvey Oswald to Bill Turcotte. Oswald has got himself employed at the Texas School Book Depository and, still with no conclusive proof he is to be the shooter – or, indeed, the only one – Jake is in a race against time. (more…)

“What are you doing with a man’s head in your freezer Harry?”. An excellent question if ever there was one Suri. The head belongs to the hulking Russian Yuri Becker and soon his body is found, thanks again to an anonymous tip-off, giving DS Winter no choice but to charge Harry with murder. And like the late Kevin Grey and his brother Richard before him, Harry gets shipped off to the dodgy Whitecross Prison and an unknown fate. Will Golding finally reveal himself and get the bracelet? Putting together a movie about Han Solo that won’t star Harrison Ford as everyone’s favourite space pirate was always going to be a tricky affair. Just who the hell do you cast as the young Han? Will he be zipping around in the Millennium Falcon? And what tale exactly do you tell? Well, the answer to this last question has been pretty much answered.
