Fourth ‘Avengers’ Movie Will No Longer Be A Part 2

When Marvel first announced in 2014 that they were going to be making yet more Avengers movies, they originally said that the next two Avengers movies would be filmed back to back and be titled Avengers: Infinity Wars Part 1 and Part 2 respectively. Now it seems that they have changed gears. IGN spoke with Joe and Anthony Russo about the upcoming films to explain, at least in part, the reason for the change.  (more…)

With the announcement at San Diego Comic Con this year that Disneyland Anaheim will be transforming the Tower of Terror into a Guardians of the Galaxy themed ride, the rumor mill has started brewing again over possible Marvel additions at Disney theme parks, but this time at their Disney World Orlando parks. Meanwhile, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster gets a minor, but possibly long overdue update that might disappoint some guest.  (more…)

The script for Passengers has been awaiting production for nearly a decade now, having been included on the 2007 Black List, which is Hollywood’s annual ranking of their most admired scripts that haven’t been greenlit. The film then had a amplitude of hurtles to overcome just to get to where it is now. Having been bounced around before finally being picked up by Sony Entertainment in 2014, the film began production in Atlanta in 2015. And now finally, Entertainment Weekly has released a couple of teaser pictures of Passengers staring Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt(more…)

New “Doctor Strange” Figure Unveiled by Hot Toys

Benedict Cumberbatch fans now have even more reasons to be excited for Doctor Strange with the unveiling of a fantastically (if a bit unnerving) detailed 1/6th scale figure of Doctor Strange. It comes complete with the Cloak of Levitation, Eye of Agamotto and mystic spell book, as well as a visual rune effect. Everything a mystical super hero requires to fight evil and look good doing it. Lucasfilm Plans Even More Han Solo Films

In a move that should come as no surprise to anyone, The New York Daily News reports that Lucasfilm and Disney are in talks to produce more Han Solo movies. In what has become the norm in Hollywood, Alden Ehrenreich, the recently confirmed casting choice for young Han Solo, has been quietly signed on for a three film contract, which if it comes to fruition will no doubt make many fans giddy with happiness.   (more…)

SDCC16: Starz Releases “American Gods” Trailer

Finally! The first live action trailer for American Gods has been released at Comic Con. The Starz panel, which included several of the cast members, the producers, showrunners/writers Bryan Fuller and Michael Green, and the man himself, Neil Gaiman, also included the announcement that Kristin Chenoweth was announced as landing the role of Easter, the goddess formerly known as Ostara, the goddess of spring. SDCC16: “Buckaroo Banzai” Moving In With Amazon

Earlier this year Clerks creator Kevin Smith spoke on his Hollywood Babble-On podcast, saying that “weird doors” started to open after his episode of The Flash aired. And apparently one of those weird doors led to a meeting with MGM and into talks about turning the cult flick The Adventures Of Buckaroo Banzai Across The 8th Dimension into a TV series. And if the rumors are true, the Banzai TV series may soon have found a landing bay with the quickly growing streaming giant Amazon. MGM and Amazon are rumored to be close to locking down a deal which would bring W.D. Richter and Earl Mac Rauch‘s 1984 cult classic sci-fi adventure comedy to the small screen.
