The upcoming Warcraft flick is looking pretty cool thus far. We haven’t really had the chance to see or hear much about it, but just knowing that Duncan Jones (Moon) is acting as director and that Blizzard is going deep into its lore to create the story is pretty reassuring. Now, the powers-that-be decided it was time to release a full casting list so that we all know who we’ll be seeing come 2016. Scroll on to check out the character breakdown, complete with some pics from Blizzcon.

Warcraft - Cooper Llane

Dominic Cooper is King Llane Wrynn, beacon of hope to the city of Stormwind during a time of darkness.

Warcraft - Foster Medivh

Ben Foster is Medivh the “Guardian”, a mysterious, reclusive protector with formidable power.

Warcraft - Kazinsky Orgrim

Robert Kazinsky is Orgrim, destined to wield the Doomhammer, heroic Orc weapon, as the right hand of Durotan.

Warcraft - Patton Garona

Paula Patton is Garona, a strong-willed survivor who must decide where true loyalty lies.

Warcraft - Kebbel Durotan

Toby Kebbell is Durotan, Chieftain and defender of the Frostwolf Clan.

Warcraft - Schnetzer Khadgar

Ben Schnitzer is Khadgar, a gifted young mage on a daring search for the truth.

Warcraft - Brown Blackhand

Clancy Brown is Blackhand “The Destroyer”, one of the most feared and titanic warchiefs among the Orcs.

Warcraft - Fimmel Lothar

Travis Fimmel is warrior Anduin Lothar, a hero who has sacrificed everything.

And there’s a couple of other characters that we don’t have pics for:

Ruth Negga is Lady Taria, Queen of Stormwind at King Llane’s side. His great love and most trusted counsel.

Daniel Wu is Gul’dan, supreme Orc ruler fueled by a dark magic that even he cannot control.

Also, here are a couple of fancier pics with the actors in full costume/CGI.

Warcraft - Llane

Warcraft - Orgrim

If nothing else, it’s certainly looking pretty. The real test of quality, however, will come only when they start releasing some actual footage. Although with Jones in charge I have little doubt that we’ll be seeing more than just a Bay-esque pile of meaningless action. With so much lore involved in the decades-old Warcraft property, they have the makings of a complex, character-driven story. Let’s hope that’s what they decide to focus on. And cool fantasy combat, of course. There does need to be a decent amount of sword-swinging and spell-slinging.

You can check out everyone in full costume and ready to do battle when Warcraft releases on March 11th of 2016.
