Just when you were wondering who you were gonna call on Board Game night, Ghostbusters gets a brand new Kickstarter to create an awesome looking new board game. Cryptozoic Entertainment just kicked off their new Kickstarter for the Ghostbusters Board Game. Let’s take a look at it.

This isn’t like the old school Ghostbusters games we had back in the day, this is a slicked up, art-worked out board game with a ton of cool features! With only a day in, the Kickstarter is half way to their goal of $250,000.

Here’s the game description:

Ghostbusters: The Board Game is an episodic adventure game for one to four players, who are charged with busting ghosts and sealing gates to the Spirit World. The game is customizable, cooperative, and highly re-playable. It features unique illustrations and figures based on original artwork and designs by Dan Schoening, the artist of IDW’s Ghostbusters comic book series. Each Ghostbuster has a distinct role and unlocks unique abilities by gaining experience. The game offers modes for different levels of players, making it accessible to beginners and challenging to experts. Now is your chance to save the world!

What comes in the base set?

Matt Hyra leads the game’s design team along with Mataio Wilson, Adam Sblendorio and a slew of playtesters and Ghostbusters fans. The starting pledge might look pricey, but considering the game content and size it will most likely retail for around the same sales point. Here’s the base pledge information:

Estimated delivery:

Shipping will add about $16 to the cost so you might want to pool your gaming dollars with your gaming group. The additional rewards are interesting and include any stretch rewards.
