Recently, Disney and Lucasfilm have been slowly revealing the characters of their new animated series, Star Wars Rebels. Set during the rise of Empire, Star Wars Rebels will focus on the early days of the rebellion and specifically on the crew of the Ghost. We’ve already met Chopper, the cantankerous mechanic droid, Kanan, the “cowboy Jedi” and the young con artist, Ezra, with a mysterious connectiong to the force. Two more characters have been revealed, Zeb and Sabine, who you’ll meet below. But first, has Star Trek‘s Brent Spiner snagged a role on Rebels?

That’s the scoop Gallifrey attendee, @Con_noisseur tweeted out over the weekend:

Greg Weisman is a writer on the series but whatever Spiner’s involvement is remains a mystery. Best guess he’s voicing a role, but who? Villain? Rebellion leader? Another Jedi hiding on the outskirts of the galaxy?

While we speculate about what Data will bring to a galaxy far, far away, meet two more of Ghost’s crew members: Zeb (voiced by Steve Blum), the brains and the brawn of the outfit, and Sabine (voiced by Tiya Sircar), a fiesty weapons expert from Mandalore.

The crew of Ghost is sure shaping up to be an eclectic bunch. Can this group of original characters win over audiences still missing Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka?

Star Wars Rebels comes to Disney XD in the fall with a special one hour premiere.
