Get a Sneak Peek at ‘The Goon’


If you are one of the skrillions of people heading to Comic-Con in San Diego this week (alas, I am not among that number), one of the things to look out for is the teaser trailer to the CG-animated feature version of Eric Powell’s horror-noir book, “The Goon.”

Friday at 6 p.m., you can catch a panel about the upcoming flick (alas, no date is yet set for the movie to hit theaters).

The Goon Film Panel— The Goon creator Eric Powell joins Tim Miller and Jeff Fowler from Blur Studio to discuss the animated feature film adaptation of the comic book series.

Helming the movie is Fight Club and Se7en director David Fincher. Clancy Brown (lots of cartoons) and Paul Giamatti (Big Fat Liar, American Splendor) are voicing The Goon and Franky, respectively.

If you haven’t read The Goon, you really need to start. Seriously. Imagine seeing this on a big screen:
