I can’t believe it took so long for this to happen. No longer will fans have to quietly sneak over to that Comic book convention booth full of bootleg DVD’s with photocopied covers to get seasons of the 1960’s Batman television series. In a few months you can quietly sneak into your local Wal-Mart or Target and pick up the entire series.Who am I kidding? I’m going to suit up in my best Batman PJ’s, don that cowl and cape, and run through the store singing my best Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na BATMAN! The exact date has yet to be announced, but Conan took to the Twitter-verse to let fans know what the Bat-skinny was.

conanbatsHoly Red-Headed Funny-Man Batman! Conan has always been a big fan of the series and couldn’t wait once he heard the news. Here’s a bigger picture of Conan and the Batmobile.

I’m hoping that Adam West and Burt Ward will make the publicity rounds and hit some talk shows. They must have some great stories to go along with the series. I wonder if there are any West and Ward commentaries included in the DVDs. That would be worth the cost of the DVDs by itself.
