It’s ‘Alien’ Time, Now In Production

Look’s like November is the time for Ridley Scott‘s ‘Alien’ prequel to start filming and everyone knows thanks to a tweet from Henry South, a visual FX designer working on the Alien prequel:

“Started work on alien prequel today!! Absolutely stunning. Worth waiting till late 2011 for peeps!”

That’s certainly interesting considering Scott and the Studio have yet to find the films leading lady.  With names like Noomi Rapace, Carey Mulligan, Abbie Cornish, Natalie Portman and Olivia Wilde still in the hat why would they film without their lead? Scott is leaning heavily towards Noomi Rapace to be his new lead, since this film will have not have any involvement with the iconic Ripley. There’s no official date for when ‘Alien’ will be released, other than sometime in 2011.

Should this film even be starting without a lead? Any views or comments on how this will turn out leave them at the bottom of the page.
