The mouse just announced an updated time line for Marvels next batch of big screen releases. Walt Disney Pictures has bumped one of their 2014 scheduled movies from June 27th to April 4th. Which one is it exactly? They ain’t saying just yet. One really interesting thing to point out is that on May 16th 2014 another Marvel movie will see release. Wow, two Marvel properties in theaters just weeks apart? That has to be by design. Perhaps both intertwine and relate to each other? Maybe it’s a two part story? We do know they are working on a Captain America 2, maybe its that one of the rumorer Doctor Strange or Ant-Man projects. At this point all we can do is speculate. Here is the line up of the next 5 films and their release dates.

May 4th 2012 – Joss Whedon’s The Avengers (3D)
May 3rd 2013 – Shane Black’s Iron Man 3
November 15th 2013 – Thor 2
April 4th 2014 – Untitled Marvel Movie #1
May 16th 2014 – Untitled Marvel Movie #2

Oh yea, and as you can see The Avengers will be in 3D. Obviously the studio wants it fit in with the current headache causing fad, but apparently after Whedon shot some test footage he decided against using the 3D cameras on set which means, calling them time consuming. The Avengers will be post converted, which was also done for Thor and Captain America.

Let’s back up for a second. On the topic of these mystery Marvel movies, what would YOU want them to be? Let’s speculate wildly together!
