Every day the internet produces an astounding amount of goodies and gems. Most hilarious, some amusing, but all worth at least a few seconds of your time. We here at Nerd Bastards try to bring you the best bits of news and nerdery the webz has to offer, with a bit of snark thrown in. But sometimes not everything makes the cut. Monday through Friday we’ll be bringing you our inbox leftovers, our forgotten bookmarks, the nerdy bits that simply slipped through the cracks. You can submit items to Nerdy Bits by emailing us at nerdybits@nerdbastards.com.

NECA has released some new packaged images for their first series of E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial figures. I for one, will not be buying this. E.T. scares the shit out of me. Especially that part in the moving when he’s dying, all pale and shit. Blah! Creeps me the fuck out. Last thing I need, is a plastic idol reminding me how horrifying he is.  [Action Figures]

‘Community’s’ Joel McHale has swooped in to save Nintendo 3DS. Everyone has pretty much ignored this handheld gaming genie, but McHale is here with a viral video that we’re too stupid to realize is a commercial. I still won’t be buying a 3DS, but McHale came very close to convincing me.   [G4TV]

The short story of Nealey and Walter… and how their engagement came to pass. If sappy proposals don’t do anything for you, at least watch for the LEGOs  [NerdApproved]

The latest leaked trailer for Resident Evil 6 introduces the monstrous C-virus. Complete with Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield, and… Wesker Jr. [ToplessRobot]

Star Wars Intergalactic Idol posted with out commentary, because I choose to ignore anything Idol related. Gawd I hate that show.  [YouTube]
