Every day the internet produces an astounding amount of goodies and gems. Most hilarious, some amusing, but all worth at least a few seconds of your time. We here at Nerd Bastards try to bring you the best bits of news and nerdery the webz has to offer, with a bit of snark thrown in. But sometimes not everything makes the cut.

Monday through Friday we’ll be bringing you our inbox leftovers, our forgotten bookmarks, the nerdy bits that simply slipped through the cracks. You can submit items to Nerdy Bits by emailing us at nerdybits@nerdbastards.com.

Would you like to spend a day on the star ship, Enterprise!? Of course you would, you little Trekkie bastard. Thanks to youtuber, crysknife007, you can have the calming, ambient engine noise of an idling NCC 1701-D play on a 24-hour loop. Then just close your eyes and be whisked away to the future. (Geek Tyrant)

Speaking of Star Trek, Redditor coolinwithcosta compiled this chart of random famous people who happened to cameo on Star Trek. I know some are more than a cameo, like Kim Cattrel and Kirstie Alley, but — wait, when was Seth MacFarlane on Star Trek!? (TDW: Geek)

How could you expect Pac-Man not to play Skyrim? All he has to look forward to is popping pills and being chased by ghosts. Of course this guys is going to escape into a world where he can slay dragons and be a badass. (Dorkly)

Then there’s this guy who thought it’d be a good idea to make a helmet for the dragonborn out of bacon. I see one giant flaw with this, dragons love bacon. One slip-up with your shouting and, WOOSH! Your head is fried, crispy and wrapped in bacon. The dragons will love this! (You Bent My Wookie)

Here we’ve got a pretty sweet Skyrim mod. Ben Swinbanks modded the PC version allowing voice-activated dragon shouts. No more scrolling through menus, just shout, “FUS RO DAH!” and watch magic happen. It’s a little laggy, but this is an early demo and honestly it doesn’t seem to hinder combat. Become Dovahkiin for realzies! (TDW: Geek)

io9 has compiled the most impressive list of magic rules from just about any and every fantasy series you can imagine. The chart is HUGE! You really must go and check out the whole thing, it collects magic law from A Song of Ice and Fire to Harry Potter to the Xanth novels. If it’s magical, it’s there.

I wonder if the person who created the Wampa throw rug ever thought about how many sexy Leia’s would be posing with it for years to come? (Geeks Are Sexy)

This is a particularly accurate cosplay of Caitlin Fairchild from Wildstorm’s Gen 13. Who knew real life could so perfectly embody a comic book bootie like that. (Fashionably Geek)
